Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno Extension is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service-focused Administrative Assistant 3 to support the State 4-H Office. This position plays an important role in helping deliver high-quality statewide youth development programming by providing administrative, fiscal, and logistical support to the State 4-H Program Leader and statewide 4-H faculty and staff.
The Administrative Assistant 3 helps coordinate daily program operations, assists with fiscal and travel processes, maintains statewide databases and records, supports statewide 4-H events, and serves as a key contact for county 4-H offices, volunteers, families, and community partners. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently within established procedures and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the State 4-H Program Leader and statewide 4-H team, including scheduling, communication, and document preparation.
Process travel, purchasing, reimbursements, and other routine fiscal documents.
Support statewide 4-H programs-including 4-H Online, Shooting Sports, and the State 4-H Camp-through data entry, recordkeeping, and general program assistance.
Coordinate logistics for statewide 4-H events, trainings, and meetings.
Maintain office operations, including supplies, mail, and preparation of program materials.
Required Qualifications
This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR
One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR

Performs repairs on all facets of medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in the treatment of patients at UAMS. Accomplishes these tasks with minimal supervision required only on the most sophisticated equipment. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and electrical safety inspections on medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in the treatment of patients at UAMS, it's clinics and health education centers. Accomplishes pm and work orders on time as scheduled. Performs software and networking related updates and repairs. Accomplishes these tasks with minimal supervision required only on the most sophisticated equipment. Provides clinical support to end item users of all facets of medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in the treatment of patients at UAMS. Provides in-service training to clinical staff and training to Biomedical Instrumentation Technology students on all facets of medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in the treatment of patients at UAMS.
Initiates purchases for parts and materials needed to perform necessary repairs or preventative maintenance on all facets of medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in the treatment of patients at UAMS. Performs incident investigations for safety violations of risk equipment. Performs initial inspections on all new and rental equipment used in the treatment of patients at UAMS.
Additional responsibilities of a Tech III:
Provides pre-purchase evaluations on new medical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in the treatment of patients at UAMS, with a focus on surgical services. Provides input to supervisor, and the director for department development. Provides information on equipment upgrades and technological changes in his or her area of expertise. Performs other non-technical roles related to clinical medical equipment management. Communicates and consults with Users on various matters. Provide leadership to personnel and possibly serve as temporary site manager in the absence of the director /manager/supervisor. • Efficiently utilize various university student databases such as GradesFirst, UAConnect, Blackboard, and Teamworks
• Create and submit Student-Athlete academic reports to counselors and coaches
• Meet with prospective student-athletes and conduct tours of the academic facilitates
• Assist in collaboration of departmental events and work in a group to complete assigned tasks, such as the Student-Athlete Graduation Receptions
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Earned Bachelor's degree from and accredited institution of higher education
Enrollment and/or acceptance in a University of Arkansas graduate program
Excellent oral and interpersonal communication, analytical, and writing skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, professional environment and meet established work deadlines
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in working in academic support services for student-athletes, advising, and/or student affairs
Cumulative grade point average of 3.000 or better
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Summary of Job Duties:The Extra Help/(HE) Public Safety Dispatcher is responsible for the central dispatch to department officers and central command. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma;
One year of specialized training in communications or related field.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Operate computer consoles, video monitoring equipment and other communication devices in the public safety department to receive requests for assistance;
Identify the nature of the situation and dispatches public safety officers and/or other personnel as required;
Receive calls from monitoring companies for fire, security and environmental alarm systems and notifies the proper authority;
Maintain accurate records of calls and other communications transmissions by using the methods prescribed by the Public Safety Department;
Prepare required reports, including incidents report. lost and found and any reports requested by Public Safety Officers;
Operate the Arkansas Crime Information Computer terminal in accordance with state law, ACIC rules and UALR Public Safety procedures;
Maintain contact with emergency services such as Little Rock Fire Department and MEMS ambulance with incidents arising on campus properties;
Extract and relay important and lifesaving information to and from officers and victims to the appropriate emergency service;
Answers a multi-line telephone system;
Relay calls to the appropriate division/employee within the department. Also redirects calls not belonging to the Police Department to the appropriate University Department or individual;
Answer a multi-line emergency phone system at the Police Department for all emergency phones on the UA Little Rock campus;
Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned;
Act as a link for coordinating the activities of field officers, security guards, student patrol and emergency responders from outside agencies.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Knowledge of communication procedures and federal rules and regulations concerning dispatching equipment;
Knowledge of communication equipment;
Knowledge of emergency response procedures and practices;
Ability to operate communication equipment;
Ability to remain calm in emergencies and gather related information;
