Summary of Job Duties:We are looking for a ChildCareTeacher I/II/III to work at the Head Start/Early Head Start program. The ChildCareTeacher I/II/III will be responsible for planning and implementing a daily program for the children in the center. The ChildCareTeacher I/II/III will also be responsible for supervising the children and ensuring their safety at all times.
Qualifications:
ChildCareTeacher I:
High School diploma/GED with a (CDA) Child Development Associates credential in infant-toddler, plus one (1) year of early childhood experience.
ChildCareTeacher II:
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, or Associate's degree with at least six (6) credit hours in early childhood education, plus one (1) year of early childhood experience.
ChildCareTeacher III:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field with at least six (6) credit hours in early childhood education plus one (1) year of experience in early childhood Education or related field.
Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains an atmosphere conducive to learning, both through physical classroom materials and instructional activities.
Implement approved regular goals while utilizing techniques necessary to motivate learning in small children.
Make regular assessments of instructional classroom materials and communicate the need for replacement or repair as needed.
Supervises students in all activities, both inside and outside the classroom. Ensure that everything is in place in case of your absence.
Identifies achievement levels of each student and provides ongoing evaluation of progress.
Identifies and accesses behavioral concerns requiring involvement of program resource staff.
Establishes and maintains continuous communication between parents and staff.

About the Role
As an Early Preschool Assistant Teacher you will work in a classroom of children ages 2 - 3 years old. You will provide a nurturing and safe environment working collaboratively with your partner Teachers to ensure the successful operation of a classroom. You will demonstrate good judgment in the care of each child assigned to you. You will verbally engage the children throughout the day in addition to incorporating activities.

What We Are Looking For
High School Diploma and 6 semesters or 9 quarter early childhood education units shall include courses that cover the general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior teaching experience with preschool students is a plus

About the Role
As a Mandarin Elementary After School Teacher at Stratford School, you will work as part of a team to develop a plan of instruction appropriate for the elementary students in our afterschool immersion program. The emphasis will be on vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This person must be professionally prepared to teach Mandarin to young children.
