Assist Resident Physician with patient assessment, testing, and special procedures.
Coordinates ancillary services, referrals, hospitalizations, and services with other agencies.
Assess the Arkansas Department of Health Immunization site on every visit to assess the patient's possible need for immunizations. Nurses will also provide education for all vaccinations based on patient and/or parent need.
Document all vaccination administrations in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and forward them to the designated individual to be entered into the state registry.
Disseminates educational materials and renders training to patients related to disease status or prevention.
Provides supportive testing related to patient visits as ordered by the Provider or per standing orders or protocol. (Spirometry, Audiometry, EKG, Vision test, Retinal Exam, Pulse Oximetry, blood glucose check, fluoride treatments, updrafts, ear irrigation, dressing changes, lab and X-ray).
Collects laboratory specimens as ordered by the Physician.
Assists patients to the laboratory and radiology for diagnostic testing.
Sets up equipment for testing or treatment that is to be performed by the Provider.
Assist physicians with procedures, i.e., pelvic exams and minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to removal of ingrown toenails, removal of skin lesions, and closure of minor lacerations.
Schedule follow-up appointments as ordered by the Provider or per standing orders.
Schedule referral appointments as ordered by the Provider
Enter orders for labs, referrals, and testing as ordered by the Provider
Triage of urgent matters that occur in the clinical area.

Summary of Job Duties:The LicensedPracticalNurse (LPN) for the Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) Center for Addiction Services and Treatment (CAST) Clinic is a specifically trained member of the psychiatry team. Patients on telemetry are remotely monitored, and portable bedside monitors are available for patients requiring closer observation. Summary of Job Duties:The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the combined Transitional Care (A7) and Short Stay (A4) units. A7/A4 is composed of 27 adult medical surgical beds collectively. These unique units with smaller bed capacity and medically stable patients support the opportunity to fully implement the RN and LPN team model of care. A shared charge RN will oversee shift to shift operations of both units, allowing for staffing flexibility tailored to meet the changing care needs of those populations.
The 14 bed Transitional Care Unit (A7) will provide care to patients who are deemed ready for acute care discharge from UAMS by their physician and have experienced a delay in discharge. The 13 bed Short Stay Unit on (A4) will provide care to medical-surgical patients that meet specific criteria for stability, and are anticipated to discharge within 48 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) performs telephonic patient triage using decision-making software, assists with patient consults and transports, uses videoconferencing equipment for telemedicine operations. Assist in identifying and tracking all calls to the Call Center and data on referrals and case-managed patients.

The Registered Nurse provides patient care to assigned patients in the H8 Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (NPCU). The NPCU is a 30-bed unit specializing in neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses. Neuroscience nursing at UAMS is part of the Critical Care Division. Our nurses receive focused education and competency assessment for common neuroscience concepts, monitoring, procedures, and devices. The NPCU works closely with the Neurocritical Care area and can facilitate transfer for the right candidate.
UAMS is designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Certified Center, providing the highest level of acute stroke care, Comprehensive Level 4 Epilepsy Center, providing the highest level of epilepsy monitoring and treatment, and recognized by Healthgrades with the 2022 Cranial Neurosurgery Excellence Award.
Neurosurgical services include:
• Pre and post-op care for procedures
• Craniotomy
• Spinal decompression
• Deep brain stimulation (DBS)
• Surgical EEG
• Care of TBI
Neurological services consist of care for:
• Stroke
• Epilepsy
• Parkinson's and movement disorders
• Multiple Sclerosis
• ALS & Neuromuscular disease
We strongly support achieving national certification, including specialty certifications, i.e., Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) and Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN), and offer preparatory resources, as well as compensation.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
Valid RN License.
One (1) year Registered Nursing experience.

Full time/part time positions available - all shifts.
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the Stem Cell Transplant Unit (F7). This is a 30 private bed unit which specializes in the care of Multiple Myeloma patients. Team members include physicians, registered nurses, APRN's, clinical pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, chaplains, physical and occupational therapists, and psychologists. This team provides continuity of care for all patients receiving stem cell transplants, both autologous and allogeneic. Nurses are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team providing care to these patients, administering chemotherapy and supportive care treatments throughout the inpatient stay.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.

Summary of Job Duties:The Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab RN will provide direct patient care as a RN in Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab. In this role physical care will be provided in the prep, intra procedure and post procedure care of patients. Intra procedure care includes administering moderate sedation and patient monitoring.
