Responsibilities The Executive Director of Development (EDOD) for the Samueli School of Engineering is a senior professional who will work collaboratively with the Dean of the Samueli School of Engineering and University Advancement (UA) to lead the development program for the Samueli School of Engineering and secure significant philanthropic investments to support it. The primary activity of the EDOD is externally focused to secure private philanthropic support and the EDOD effectiveness will be evaluated on the ability to achieve financial goals and meet metrics. Will maintain a portfolio of donor prospects that include the most influential, complex or highest rated donors. The CMC seeks an Associate Director, MBA Career Advising and Education to support our students in seeking summer and full-time employment in the private finance and start-up space, with an emphasis on venture capital, private equity, impact investing and search funds. This person will develop, maintain, improve and grow our career management resources for MBA students. CORE DUTIES Staff Management (40%) Coordinate the group fitness and recreational class program areas (75 classes per week) for Recreation and Wellness. Responsible for the daily management of staff, including the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, motivation, and retention. Plan, organize, and facilitate training, work assignments, evaluations, and, if needed, disciplinary action for personnel. Trains staff in the use of the recreational facilities and emergency procedures. Ensure customer encounters are courteous, respectful, and efficient. Ensure staff understand their role as valuable team members within Recreation and Wellness. Administrative Responsibilities (30%) Responsible for the inputting/entering of fitness program information for all sport and recreation classes and programs into the membership software in alignment with marketing and registration deadlines. Gather, analyze, and report on group fitness and recreational class data. Successfully manage an accurate administration of online program registration, including internal collaborations with cross-functional teams, responding to inquiries in a timely manner, and managing payment systems. Works directly with and in close collaboration with the Director of DAPER Academic Programs and other student wellness-based leaders on specific functions, projects, and programs, including instructor education and development. Contribute to the budget planning process, tracking annual expenditures. Regularly collect satisfaction surveys and customer response forms; create reports and recommend solutions.
