    Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) is an integral part of patient care and recovery after diagnosis of certain cardiovascular events and procedures such as heart attack, angioplasty/stent, heart failure, and valve repair/replacement and bypass surgery. The CR nurse coordinates patient activities, provides coaching and education, communication with referring provider, and safety oversight during medically supervised exercise.
