This position will primarily support the inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) with ability to float to acute care.
The Staff SpeechPathologist (SpeechPathologist 2) reports to the Clinical Supervisor and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. The Staff SpeechPathologist works primarily with adult and geriatric
patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
Under general direction and upon receipt of licensed approved provider written referrals, the Staff SpeechPathologist plans and administers a full range of speech and dysphagia therapy services for patients with a
variety of physical and cognitive impairments. Services include patient evaluations using speech-language
pathology tests and measurements, establishment of therapeutic intervention goals and the development of
therapeutic intervention programs, and implementation of therapeutic intervention plans utilizing all aspects of
the speech-language pathology scope of practice. The Staff SpeechPathologist demonstrates practice
competence with patients of varying complexity and clinical presentation across levels of acuity. The Staff
SpeechPathologist may seek mentoring for novel clinical presentations or areas of specialty practice for which
the Staff SpeechPathologist is not experienced or certified.
The Staff SpeechPathologist maintains all applicable patient records related to the delivery of patient care
services, is organized in work habits, and demonstrates effective time management skills. While performing
job duties, the Staff SpeechPathologist may also supervise Speech Pathology Students, Speech Pathology
Clinical Fellows, and Rehabilitation Aides. The Staff SpeechPathologist participates in regular professional
and clinical development activities, completing 40 hours or more per year. As a member of the clinical care
team, the Staff SpeechPathologist also participates in and may lead compliance, quality, safety, and
process improvement initiatives in the department, local care setting, and organization.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $60.40 - $81.28 (Hourly Rate).

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Location: Midlothian, VA
Setting: School-Based (Pre-K through 12, depending on assignment)
Pay Range: $30.00-$40.00 hourly (Pay based on experience) *
Hours: Full-time or Part-time options
Contract Length: 2025-2026 School Year
Requirements
· Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license/certification
· 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant within the school setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
· Provide essential support and specialized care to students with speech and language concerns within the educational setting by implementing therapy plans developed by supervising Speech Language Pathologists.
· Collect data, monitor progress and support classroom activities based on student plans of care.
· Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to ensure students receive services tailored to their individual needs.
