The full-time Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with the Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit (IDCTU) will conduct clinical research coordination, care, and recruitment for HIV/AIDS and COVID-19 research studies under the research direction of Dr. Thomas Campbell and Dr. Kristine Erlandson.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Sub-Investigator and Primary Coordinator on multiple clinical trials and ensure adherence to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
Independently performs study related processes, procedures and assessments as defined in the study protocols.
Identify, recruit, and screen potential clinical trial participants to determine study eligibility.
Coordinate and administer patient care in compliance with protocol requirements including administering investigational products.
Independently review participants for changes in condition, adverse events, concomitant medication use, protocol compliance, response to study drug and ensure timely collection and documentation of study data.

This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Communications, works closely with the Director of Athletics, Deputy Director of Athletics and the Associate Athletics Director for Business Operations.
Responsibilities: The Athletics Communication Coordinator (ACC) will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications in delivering the University's and Athletic Department's internal and external messaging. The ACC will assist the Assistant AD of Communications with the day-to-day operations of the sports information department and be the primary contact for assigned sports. Along with these duties, the ACC will produce video content for Web and social media distribution; help oversee game day operations; nominate Western teams and individuals for awards; participate in marketing and promotional efforts; supervise and train student workers; collaborate with other departments on Western's campus to assist with inquiries and requests; assist with acquisition of essential office equipment; and complete other tasks assigned by the Assistant AD and the Director of Athletics. The ACC must adhere to Western Colorado University, RMAC and NCAA guidelines and regulations. Included in, and not limited to, the duties of this position are the writing of press releases, game recaps and feature story content; utilizing graphics and video to produce social media posts; creating/editing video content such as previews for all athletic events and "mic'd up" features; recording/entering statistics for assigned sports using NCAA Livestat software; and managing student-worker schedules and coverage of home athletic contests including press box and press row.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field. Ability to support significant evening and weekend work. Candidates must possess accuracy in writing, editing, and proofreading and be computer literate using MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign or other desktop publishing programs. Candidates must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and with interruptions while meeting the demands of multiple priorities and deadlines. Must posses a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in journalism, communications or other related field. The Lecturer(s) selected will teach in the Accounting discipline at the CU Denver Business School. Job Summary:
The Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine's mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training. The Department is seeking a Vice Chair of Research to further the department's research mission, promoting programmatic and interdisciplinary initiatives in basic, clinical, translational, and health services research. As the dedicated leader of department research, the Vice Chair of Research will have a close working relationship with the Chair of Otolaryngology, CU Medicine, University of Colorado Health (UCHealth), Children's Hospital of Colorado (CHCO), our affiliates (DH, VA), faculty members across the entire department and other stakeholders across campus.
The ideal candidate will hold the degree of MD (with board certification in an otolaryngology subspecialty) or a PhD in laboratory-based bench research, or both. They should have an outstanding record of achievement and national prominence in basic/translational/clinic research. The ideal candidate must also possess leadership experience running research programs in a comparable academic department or healthcare setting. The candidate is expected to be a scientist with a solid track record of extramural funding.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Partner with Department leadership to develop the research mission, strategic plan, tactics for achieving the goals of the strategic plan, and metrics for measuring success. Ensure that department goals are in alignment with goals of the School of Medicine.
Partner with the Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs and the Vice Chair of Education to develop a mentorship program and opportunities for development of research-focused faculty. These efforts will include developing and refining novel early and mid-career support programs, bridge funding programs, exploring PSTP program and other efforts to ensure recruitment, retention and success for clinician scientists, laboratory scientists, and other researchers within the Department.
Partner with the Vice Chair of Education in the implementation and management of Research Related Training grants to include a T32 and R25.
Advise on the recruitment of research fellows, staff, and faculty with the Chair
Mentor residents, research fellows, and/or graduate students.
Oversee and advise on departmental research efforts with an emphasis on forming and encouraging scientific collaborations, with the goal of increasing publications and funded research. Interface with other departments desiring to conduct studies regarding collaboration on new and existing projects, building and enhancing collaborative relationships across the enterprise.
Support the Resident Program by actively engaging and supporting resident's research efforts including active involvement in the annual Resident Research Day.
Participate actively in departmental committees including Executive Committee, Faculty Search Committees, and Residency Search and Review Committees.
In conjunction with the Research (Administrative) Program Director, track total number of research projects and clinical trials that are being conducted and work with members of the Department of Otolaryngology faculty to increase these activities on an ongoing basis.
Partner with leaders in informatics and innovations within the SOM and the campus to expand the role these critical fields play in otolaryngology research.
Partner closely with Department and SOM Quality Improvement efforts to integrate research in quality improvement and patient safety to advance medicine and improve patient outcomes.
Enhance the communication of research activities and findings in the Department
Lead an annual departmental research retreat to continually evaluate and evolve Department research strategy and tactics

The starting salary range (
