The ideal candidate will be an outstanding individual whose research program includes mechanistic investigation of fundamental aspects of visual function, and in particular means of creating artificial vision through neuromodulation, retinal or brain prostheses, or other brain-computer interface. We especially encourage applicants with research interests that complement and extend both Departments' existing research strengths in nervous system function and computational science (medschool.cuanschutz.edu/physiology) as well as diseases of the retina, and data science (************************************************ A strong track record and potential for success in securing competitive funding is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to lead a vigorous research program, participate in professional and graduate training, and play a pivotal role in the growing vision science community at CU Anschutz.
