**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**

Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Office of Research Education Business Services Program Director and has a dotted line reporting to the Program Director and all Associate Directors in the MSTP.

Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Training (10%) In collaboration with OME Business Services, this position will hire staff as required and oversee the onboarding and training of team members to ensure they are properly trained and equipped to successfully complete assigned job duties.
Provide direct supervision to one (1) full-time professional.
Handle workload assignments, performance management, coaching and counseling, and leave management for direct report(s).
Program Operations (30%) Serve as the primary operational liaison between the School of Medicine Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program office, the Office of Research Education (ORE), Graduate School, National Jewish Health, CU Boulder, and the program to ensure cohesive student support and seamless cross-campus collaboration.
Review and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the MSTP for training, operational excellence, and continuity, and ensure documents are easily sourced in a document library.
Ensure documentation is transferable to effectively train staff and is kept up to date as programmatic changes arise.
Cultivate partnerships with undergraduate institutions and foster community relationships to improve recruitment efforts and communication.
Collaborate with SOM departments for program marketing, including brochures, posters, and coordination of website development and implementation.
Liaise with SOM IT for website maintenance, ensuring accurate information is posted for current students and potential student applicants.
Oversee and coordinate all event planning for the program, including but not limited to activities around seminars, program-specific specialty courses, and student and alumni engagement functions.
Organize, coordinate, implement and attend, with the student committee and Program Director, the annual National MD / PhD Conference for students and directors.
Manage conference registration (including collection of fees); oversee the event budget; fundraise; work with speakers and invited guests; and guide a student planning committee.

Responsible for accurately tracking and reporting data required for grants (pre- and post-award).

Respond to NIH inquiries in a timely manner.

Manage Graduate School faculty appointments with support of the Office of Research Education.
Serve as an administrative resource relative to student administrative issues and School of Medicine academic affairs.

Responsible for the maintenance of program curriculum proposals, including interface with CU-SIS and building new courses in the system as necessary.
When cross-listing courses, ensure MSTP courses are consistent with School of Medicine and Graduate School course requirements.
Coordinate with leadership with any required updates to the student handbook and program website.
Research and benchmark other MD/PhD programs, providing summary document on critical metrics to SOM OME leadership Student Affairs (30%) Manage and coordinate the recruitment, acceptance, and orientation of new students into the program.
This includes coordination with the School of Medicine and Office of Research Education Admissions Offices to process applications, coordinate and participate in committee meetings, and organize interviews with faculty.
Collaborate with School of Medicine Health Opportunities and Professional Engagement (HOPE) to promote inclusive recruitment and retention.
Monitor student progress, retention activities, and grievance procedures for students; work with program's training committee(s), School of Medicine, Office of Research Education, and other graduate programs when necessary.
Utilize CUSIS (Milestones), Canvas, SOM (Oasis) and Graduate School (GAIA) databases; responsible for compilation and management of all student lifecycle data, including tracking of progress, advising, intervening, and resolving any academic problems.
Manage administrative aspects of all MSTP-specific courses in collaboration with course directors.
This includes coordination with course directors, setting up courses in CUSIS, ensuring students are properly registered, managing Canvas, managing course evaluations, and ensuring grades are entered and submitted in a timely manner.
Route documentation and monitor statuses when students take leaves of absence and return to the program, including projected leaves and returns.
Consult with, and be aware of, program guidelines and policies, School of Medicine and Office of Research Education rules and procedures, as well as appropriate University policy as it applies to student admission, degree progress, and graduation.
Update and publish the MSTP Handbook for students to reference policies and procedures.
Budgetary and Procurement Responsibilities (20%) Collaborate with the OME and ORE Business Services Program Directors and provide input into the annual budget.
Review provided budget to actual reports, including post-award grants budget to actuals, on a regularly scheduled cadence with the OME Business Services Program Director.
Coordinate with the business services team to manage post-award for Program's Training Grant and Conference Grant.
Ensure all expenses are allocated per NIH allowable terms.
Track and manage student fellowship awards during medical school training years.

Coordinate with the business services team on the negotiation of vendor contracts, generation of purchase orders, and payment for services to third party vendors in support of the MSTP.
In adherence with university procurement policies, oversee the procurement card and travel card transactions for the MSTP.
Submit interdepartmental entries (tuition remission) to pay students' bills each semester.
Reconcile students' bills as needed with the bursar, registrar, and business services team.
Process reimbursements for students and faculty and serve as a resource for students with procurement questions.
Program Strategic Planning (10%) As a part of the program leadership team, participate in strategic planning for the program.
Provide strategic advisement to leadership, offering recommendations informed by benchmarking, program trends, and student outcomes.
Coordinate, set agendas/record minutes, and attend as program leadership all program committee meetings, faculty meetings, leadership and executive committee meetings, and other regularly scheduled meetings; participate in discussions regarding the program's mission and goals.
Actively benchmark and research other MD/PhD programs and provide recommendations to the Program Director.
Coordinate the development of program metrics and reporting with the Program Director.
Manage LCME accreditation requirements for the program.
Work Location:Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

The University of Colorado Denver's Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program will be an undergraduate degree delivered in a hybrid format to prepare students for entry-level, professional, generalist social work practice and for graduate social work education. Located in the Department of Sociology within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), the BSW will utilize an interdisciplinary approach to capture both an academic liberal arts emphasis and the necessary knowledge and skills to enter professional social work practice. The Sociology Department, located in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has 11 rostered faculty, including 7 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. The Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a tenure track Associate Professor of Social Work and Program Director for its new Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. The position is located in Denver, Colorado and is not remote. This is a full-time (9 months) faculty appointment with summer availability. The position will start in Summer 2026.
The Department seeks a dynamic-scholar-teacher-administrator with a track record of success managing a social work degree program with a significant online presence. The incoming BSW Program Director will oversee the launch of CU Denver's BSW degree.
The typical time allocation for tenure-track faculty at the University of Colorado Denver is 40% teaching (equivalent to 4 classes per year, 2 classes in each fall and spring semester), 40% research, and 20% service. The BSW Program Directorship is an administrative role compensated by a 20% release in teaching responsibility (equivalent to 2 classes per year, 1 class in each fall and spring semester) and 1.5 months of summer salary. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach required courses within the BSW curriculum. The University of Colorado Denver's Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program will be an undergraduate degree delivered in a hybrid format to prepare students for entry-level, professional, generalist social work practice and for graduate social work education. Located in the Department of Sociology within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), the BSW will utilize an interdisciplinary approach to capture both an academic liberal arts emphasis and the necessary knowledge and skills to enter professional social work practice. The program is expected to begin enrolling students in Spring 2027.
The Sociology Department, located in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has 11 rostered faculty, including 7 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. Sociology has approximately 100 undergraduate majors and 20 MA students. Faculty specializations include law & policy, criminology, health & medicine, and families. We are committed to inclusive excellence in our teaching and mentoring and through the programs we offer our students. The Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a tenure track Associate Professor of Social Work and Program Director for its new Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. The position is located in Denver, Colorado and is not remote. This is a full-time (9 months) faculty appointment with summer availability. The position will start in Summer 2026.
The Department seeks a dynamic-scholar-teacher-administrator with a track record of success managing a social work degree program with a significant online presence. The incoming BSW Program Director will oversee the launch of CU Denver's BSW degree.
The typical time allocation for tenure-track faculty at the University of Colorado Denver is 40% teaching (equivalent to 4 classes per year, 2 classes in each fall and spring semester), 40% research, and 20% service. The BSW Program Directorship is an administrative role compensated by a 20% release in teaching responsibility (equivalent to 2 classes per year, 1 class in each fall and spring semester) and 1.5 months of summer salary. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach required courses within the BSW curriculum. The position requires a flexible teaching schedule to include day and evening classes as well as the ability to teach in a variety of formats (e.g., face-to-face, hybrid, and online). This position reports to the Chair of Sociology.
In addition to possessing a record of effective leadership in a social work program, the successful candidate will have established success in mentoring students of diverse ethnicities, nationalities, and genders, including first-generation undergraduates; be familiar with successful strategies for delivering social work curriculum online; and possess the capacity for working collaboratively with department and campus colleagues. They must also possess an established record of research and scholarship. What you will do:
Serve as the principal representative of the BSW program to the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
Oversee the BSW program's accreditation with CSWE.
Work with departmental faculty on the BSW assessment plan.
Recruit and retain students in the program.
Collaborate with the department chair to hire additional BSW faculty as needed.
Schedule BSW courses each semester.
Coordinate with the department chair on the evaluation of program faculty.
Make and maintain relationships with social work professionals and social service organizations in the community and region.
Teach 6 credits of core social work courses per academic year.
Participate in departmental, college, and campus committees as required.

**Summary**
The Program Director of SOLE leads a comprehensive portfolio of outdoor recreation and education programs designed to promote student wellness, leadership development, and campus engagement. This role oversees outdoor trips, adventure-based classes, workshops, certifications, camps, climbing wall operations, and the SOLE Center, which includes a bike and ski shop and outdoor equipment rentals. The program director supervises a team of 10-15 student employees and coordinates over 30 trips, 40 educational events, and 350+ climbing wall users annually. The position also collaborates with campus partners to support student recruitment, retention, and success through outdoor experiences.
This role provides strategic leadership for the SOLE program, overseeing its short- and long-term planning, budgeting, policies, procedures, facility operations, equipment management, risk mitigation, and program evaluation. **Work Schedule:**

+ Provides leadership for program budget of $200,000, including revenue generation, payroll, and operational expenses, with responsibility for development, implementation, reporting, and evaluation.
+ Prepares and submits contracts, agreements, and permits for approval in coordination with the University Procurement Service Center and Human Resources.
+ Designs and oversees high-quality outdoor adventure programs that promote healthy behaviors, personal growth, and team wellbeing, while meeting the diverse needs of the campus community.
+ Collaborates with the Membership and Marketing team to maintain accurate and engaging web content, and to promote access to facilities, equipment rentals, recreational and educational adventure-based programs and classes.

+ Manages the Fusion recreational software system to support registration for trips, classes, and events; oversee equipment rentals; coordinate bike and ski services; facilitate climbing wall orientations; and track point-of-sale and participant data.
+ Secures vendor partnerships to support programming, equipment procurement, and access to outdoor permits.
+ Responds to student and member interests by researching and developing new outdoor adventure programs and classes not currently offered.

**Climbing Wall**
+ Oversees the operation of the 27-foot climbing and bouldering wall, as well as the freestanding MoonBoard, including routine inspections, equipment checks, and route setting.
+ Ensures climbing wall operations comply with and exceed current industry safety and instructional standards.
+ Designs and delivers training programs for SOLE Guest Services Desk Attendants to ensure safe and effective climbing wall operations.

**Personnel Management and Student Development:**

**Risk Management:**
+ Develops, updates, and communicates emergency response policies and procedures for all SOLE programs.
+ Directs and documents monthly and annual climbing wall, auto belays, and outdoor equipment inspections and certifications in alignment with national organization standards.

**Qualifications:**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a related field from an accredited institution.
+ Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
+ At least 4 years of related professional work experience in project management with at least 1 year in a lead role demonstrating management of progressively more complex projects and initiatives.
+ One year in academic healthcare setting/research institution with experience working with faculty and managing a research or business unit
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 5 years of professional level experience in project management.
+ Experience with large-scale project management, strategic planning and/or consulting
+ Experience in healthcare or at an academic medicine research institution
+ Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other related advanced degree.
+ Experience using and deploying project management software such as Clickup
+ Demonstrated experience executing process improvement or project management within academic healthcare setting/research institution

The Project Manager will provide project support for the Verily/Refined Science/Department of Ophthalmology Collaborative project, the central administrative team and department leadership. The position is expected to provide strategic thought leadership to cross functional project teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders while demonstrating a keen eye for the tactical elements of projects. The position partners with Division and Department leadership to identify and evaluate opportunities for efficiency and growth, through pro-active seeking out, prioritizing, and development of initiatives. This position will be responsible for tracking milestones, coordinating biorepository sample analysis on multiple platforms, enhancing interactive communication between working groups within the project, assisting in the bioinformatic analysis of clinical and biorepository sample data, creating and managing the project budget, provide support in the development of SOPs, tracking of KPIs and other tactical initiatives with the Division and Department. This position will also work with project and department leadership to assess and improve operational needs within the department. The position will provide end to end project leadership (concept to completion), fully owning the mechanisms which ensure successful project delivery using a creative, focused, and synergistic project development process to include internal stakeholders and external strategic partnerships.
