Job Description:
Adjudicate individual student cases via administrative hearings and administrative reviews or refer to other conflict resolution processes as appropriate.
Collaborate with university and other partners, such as Title IX, Office of Victim Services, University Police, Local/State Law Enforcement, Faculty, and Staff, to ensure the effective execution of departmental processes and procedures, leading to successful outcomes.
Assist the Assistant Dean and Director with coordinating education and training of students and faculty/staff members involved with the Student Conduct Committee.
Coordinate, develop, and present outreach programs to the University campus and surrounding community regarding conflict resolution, academic integrity, the student conduct code and conduct process, and other various services that Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution provides. Assist with the further development of conflict resolution initiatives.
Assist in assessment of student conduct process, including running reports in database to track caseloads/sanctions. Provide statistical reports and summaries for various departments and agencies regarding types of conduct cases and outcomes.
Contributes to the Dean of Students Office (DSO), Student Life Division, and University of Florida through active participation on committees, department initiatives, and division-wide initiatives (example opportunities: emergency dean on call, event support team, conduct committee, student welcome events, etc.)
Oversee records maintenance to ensure compliance with institutional policies, relevant laws, and mandated reporting.
Other duties as assigned, including cross-training in other areas within the DSO.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
May be responsible for the supervision of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution Graduate Assistant, practicum students, interns, student assistants, and/or case coordinator(s).
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE
8 AM to 5 PM, 40 hours per week. This position also requires occasional evening and some weekend time commitment
Expected Salary:
$50,000-$55,000
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of experience.
Preferred:
Master's degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field and four years of appropriate experience.
Graduate and/or professional experience in higher education student affairs, with one to three years of professional experience in higher education student conduct preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with collegiate conduct systems, including academic integrity, behavioral conduct, organizational conduct, Title IX, or other student conduct process.
Evidence of establishing effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and external constituents.
Familiarity with relevant state and federal laws/regulations that impact student conduct policies and processes.

The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking an experienced mental health professional to serve as the AssistantDirector for Crisis and Emergency Resource Center (CERC). This individual will assist with the planning and management of the center's emergency response and will act in place of the Associate Director for Crisis and Emergency Resource Center in that person's absence. This individual will also serve as the coordinator and provide direct oversight for CWC's Consultation and Referral Team (CART). The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment that values collaboration and support among team members and will work with us as we seek to assist UF students cultivate their mental health and well-being in support of their personal, educational, and career development.
The AssistantDirector for CERC reports to the Associate Director for CERC and works closely with the Associate and AssistantDirectors for Clinical Services in the coordination of CART functions. This person serves in a key administrative role responsible for training, planning, and providing leadership for all aspects of CART. While this role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities for clinical staff, this person may hold supervisory duties for trainees and unlicensed CART counselors. This role works collaboratively with CWC's support staff, case managers, leadership team, and clinical faculty, assisting in policy drafting and planning. This person is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with other clinical faculty and University of Florida departments to ensure that brief consultation and referral appointments, walk-in crisis counseling, and consultation with faculty and staff are compatible with other campus efforts and meeting the needs of University of Florida (UF) students.
In addition to specific administrative duties, the person in this role is expected to meet direct service requirements. The percentages below reflect approximate allocations and may be adjusted based on student and operational needs.
Essential Functions
Program Oversight
Manage daily clinical and administrative operations for the CART program
Train new CART counselors in consultation, crisis intervention, and referral service
Provide ongoing support for CART counselors
Oversee waitlist management to ensure timely access to CWC services
Coordinate schedules to maintain adequate coverage for on-call services and brief consultation and referrals (BCR) appointments throughout the year
Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed CART counselors and trainees
Collaborate with the CWC Associate Director for Training to oversee the training of doctoral interns and post-doctoral fellows in brief consultation, referral, and crisis services
Direct Clinical Service
Conduct BCR appointments to assist students in identifying needed services and resources
Provide consultation to clinicians, students, faculty, and stakeholders related to crisis and emergency needs
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with SHCC psychiatry and UF stakeholders to ensure smooth inter-departmental processes
Serve as a secondary member of campus interdisciplinary teams related to crisis response, including the Emergency Operations Team and the Behavioral Concerns and Threat Assessment Team
Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to support and enhance clinical operations
Fulfill administrative and committee responsibilities
Emergency Preparedness
Assist the Associate Director of Crisis and Emergency Resource Center in the planning and implementation of CWC's emergency preparedness initiatives and protocol development
Support the clinical aspects of the university's crisis response, including emergency shelter operations during weather-related or other emergency events
Non-Essential Functions
Perform other duties as assigned or required
Additional Responsibilities
This individual assists with leading the CWC's crisis response and performs the duties of the Associate Director for CERC in that person's absence. This includes participation on the university's Behavioral Consultation Team and Emergency Operations Team. This position engages in after-hours consultation, support, and service. This position is expected to support the Division of Student Life's All Hands-on Deck activities minimally once a year.
About the Counseling and Wellness Center
Mental health services at the University of Florida have historically held a strong importance and distinction in the campus community. The CWC is one of the oldest counseling centers in the country, established in 1931. The CWC is a vibrant, multidisciplinary and creative center, actively engaged in the furtherance and betterment of compassionate and trauma-informed psychological services, outreach, and training. The CWC is a dynamic part of the Division of Student Life and is highly utilized by students and other campus constituents seeking a variety of mental health services.
Our clinical team consists of 47 clinicians in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, and counselor education; 10 mental health counselors serving as CART specialists and three mental health counselors serving as clinical case managers. In addition, the psychiatry staff of the Student Health Care Center shares one of our facilities. CWC is home to a large training program for graduate students in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education and a doctoral psychology internship accredited by the American Psychological Association. Members of our staff are cohesive, collegial, engaged, and share a passion for working in collegiate mental health. The CWC is a learning organization as clinical service, training, outreach, and professional development are informed by research, local data, and benchmarking with national trends and peer institutions. The CWC identifies closely with the vision, values, and guiding principles of the Division of Student Life.
The CWC provides:
Group, individual, and couples counseling for students with psychological, emotional, academic and/or relationship concerns
Crisis intervention for students experiencing a personal crisis or emergency
Stress management and biofeedback services
Outreach, prevention, and educational programs for students, faculty, and staff
Consultation services for students, faculty, staff, families, and friends of students
Training and supervision to counseling, psychology, and graduate students from pre-practicum through post-doctoral residency
Assessment and referral services
Teaching, research, and scholarship
Expected Salary:
Starting at $93,000 - negotiable based on qualifications and experience
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate should (1) have a master's degree or doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, counseling, or a related field; (2) should be licensed in their current jurisdiction of practice and must be license eligible in Florida; and (3) be a Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health Registered Interns in the state of Florida.
Preferred Qualifications:
Have five years of post-degree clinical/counseling experience
Previous administrative and/or leadership experience in a university or college counseling center

Contribute to compiling and analyzing data related to student organization misconduct and non-residential/off-campus conduct trends.
* Supervise the Student Development Coordinator, guiding all aspects of their role. Support the Coordinator in the development and implementation of outreach initiatives, offering constructive feedback and opportunities for leadership. Assist in the assessment of educational outreach and training efforts led by the coordinator.
* Lead the recruitment, selection, and training of University Conduct Board (UCB) members, including faculty, staff, and students, and provide ongoing development opportunities. Facilitate training for a peer-led agency within Student Government that advises students navigating the conduct process.

Responsibilities:
Lead federal program development and oversight. These duties include developing and reviewing program applications and amendments: establishing and maintain a budget that reflects the goals of the FDOE (Florida Department of Education) to meet the needs of the federal program; facilitating the collection and review of data relative to the federal program to improve outcomes annually; and ensure program compliance with organizational, state and federal rules and regulations. Manage the Migrant Student Information Exchange (MSIX) system and provide technical assistance to both external and internal stakeholders regarding the MSIX system.
Monitor school district compliance with federal program requirements. These duties include facilitating the review of applications (including plans, budgets, deliverables {if applicable) and other documents) submitted by stakeholders, the development of annual Tier I and II compliance monitoring activities, and the performance of real-time monitoring and reporting requirements.
Facilitating and providing training, technical assistance, guidance, and support to FDOE and school district personnel. Guidance and support are provided in the following areas in coordination with program staff: grant management, compliance with federal and state rules and regulations. Directors also facilitate training an technical assistance on a variety of topics that relate to the federal program(s)to build FDOE and school personnel staff capacity to implement educational policies and practices. These activities occur through face-to-face (e.g. school district site visits, conferences) and virtual (e.g., conference calls, webinars) platforms.
Supervise and manage federal program staff. These duties include directing the operation, management, and hiring of staff; completing timely performance appraisals for direct reports; developing work plans for staff (plans include objectives and scope and details of tasks to be performed); and approving monthly attendance and leave for each position under their direct report.

Modern laboratory and support facilities and easy access to natural habitats offer an environment conducive to scientific investigation. The FMEL Extension programs provide information gained through research on biting insects and other arthropods that transmit disease to mosquito control and public health professionals, UF/IFAS Extension faculty, and the public. FMEL's Extension programs also provide training in medical entomology to public health and mosquito control professionals within Florida as well as internationally.
The FMEL staff includes 11 faculty in the University of Florida's Entomology and Nematology Department as well as post-doctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, and visiting scientists. Research support is provided by appropriate technical, clerical, administrative, and maintenance personnel. The laboratories, administrative building, graduate student building, maintenance building and other infrastructure of FMEL are nestled among 38 acres of coastal forest habitats. The mission of UF ELI as an integral part of the HWCOE is to focus on creating principle-based, character-focused, creative leaders that bring critical, value-added perspectives and sound judgment to all leadership roles in society. ELI supports UF in being at the national forefront of transforming the way that engineers impact society through their leadership roles and service in other key roles in society. As the central source of education and training in leadership for the HWCOE, ELI serves a critical role in the College's goals of achieving excellence through interdisciplinary research and education and fostering a culture of leadership throughout the faculty, students, and staff.
ELI, located in the UF Wertheim Laboratory for Engineering Excellence, offers both undergraduate and graduate coursework and certificate programs in engineering leadership, engineering project management, and engineering and AI ethics and safety. Since its inception in 2011, over 12,000 students have completed coursework in ELI and over 700 students have graduated with earned certificates in engineering leadership or engineering project management. The Opportunity
The Director of the UF Honors Program for the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success provides strategic vision, classroom and programmatic leadership and expertise, financial oversight, and administrative, day-to-day supervision and management of the UF Honors Program. The UF Honors Director will:

Establish and regularly report results of outcomes assessments at the program and course levels.

The Engineering Leadership Institute (ELI) in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE) at the University of Florida (UF) is conducting an internal search for a Full Professor in the HWCOE faculty to serve as the ELI Program Director. This is a full-time, twelve-month appointment.
The mission of UF ELI as an integral part of the HWCOE is to focus on creating principle-based, character-focused, creative leaders that bring critical, value-added perspectives and sound judgment to all leadership roles in society. ELI supports UF in being at the national forefront of transforming the way that engineers impact society through their leadership roles and service in other key roles in society. As the central source of education and training in leadership for the HWCOE, ELI serves a critical role in the College's goals of achieving excellence through interdisciplinary research and education and fostering a culture of leadership throughout the faculty, students, and staff.
ELI, located in the UF Wertheim Laboratory for Engineering Excellence, offers both undergraduate and graduate coursework and certificate programs in engineering leadership, engineering project management, and engineering and AI ethics and safety. Since its inception in 2011, over 12,000 students have completed coursework in ELI and over 700 students have graduated with earned certificates in engineering leadership or engineering project management. With three permanent staff, dedicated adjunct instructors, many of whom are practicing engineers, a committed Advisory Board, and shared support of the core values and expectations of ELI faculty and students, ELI is now poised to further enrich the education of engineering students through new academic programs, enhanced engagement programming for current and former students, and educational outreach to external corporate and government partners.
The responsibilities of the ELI Director include the following:
* Visioning of the Institute work to ensure fulfillment of its mission and regular communication of the vision to internal and external stakeholders.
* Close partnering with the ELI Advisory Board, meeting on a semesterly basis and engaging members in events and other activities.
* Leading, mentoring, supporting, and building camaraderie among ELI staff, including 3 permanent staff members and additional course instructors.
* Ensuring the relevance of all ELI curriculum by evaluation and application of career-readiness competencies, assessment at the course and program levels, and surveying of current and former students and employers.
* Overseeing the creation of new academic programs through strong collaboration with the ELI Advisory Board, HWCOE leadership, and campus and college units and individuals.
* Performing administrative duties that include reporting to the Florida Board of Governors, UF Office of Institutional Planning and Research, and UF Advancement.
