Job Description: Supports UF Human Resources communications and branding efforts by producing creative materials in alignment with the University of Florida's visual identity. This role involves designing and producing assets for both digital platforms and print, capturing and editing photo/video content and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. Frequent collaboration with internal and external teams is required, as well as coordination with outside vendors to deliver projects from concept to completion.
* Produces and updates digital graphics for websites, social media, email communications (primarily Marketing Cloud and Outlook) and select programs using established branding standards and templates. Primarily uses Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign to format layouts, apply graphics and revise content based on provided direction. On occasion, designs will be created via the Canva platform. Provides and incorporates feedback and ensures projects are completed within the stablished timeline.
* Captures and edits photography and video content for use in digital and print materials following defined requirements. Operates cameras and basic lighting and audio equipment and edits files using Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop. Stores and organizes files according to departmental procedures.
* Produces and updates print materials such as flyers, signage, handbooks, programs and posters using approved branding guidelines. Prepares print-ready files by applying required formatting, resolution and color settings. Provides creative guidance as needed, incorporates feedback from stakeholders and coordinates with vendors for print production. Ensures materials are created and delivered to stakeholders within the established timelines.
* Applies established accessibility and ADA standards when developing and updating visual materials. Reviews assigned assets for required accessibility elements such as color contrast, font usage, image descriptions and video captions. Makes corrections using defined guidelines and tools. Serves as the department point person for ADA guidance, staying up to date with requirements and ensuring department compliance across projects.
* Formats charts, graphics and infographics using provided data for reports and presentations. Converts data into standard visual formats using design software. Applies UF branding standards and incorporates feedback from stakeholders.
* Attends meetings and provides unit support as needed, such as event set-up, phone coverage, etc.

Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the management of marketing and communications media for a facility (digital displays).
Assist in the management of the department website to ensure updated and proofed content, including graphics, videography, and photography.
Write, edit, produce, and distribute compelling editorial content, including e-newsletters, web content, and other communications.
Design and distribute emails transmitting initiative newsletters, event emails and follows, and other emails as needed.
Bring innovative and interesting ideas to the project development process.
Create and manage all published content including images, video, and written posts.
Document and promote department events/programs/campus through photography and video production.
Evaluate and report campaign effectiveness including web/digital analytics, etc.
Infuse messages promoting residential living and nutritional education.
Develop an optimal posting schedule for social media content, engages with followers, and develop strategic social media campaigns.
Brainstorm, execute, and interact with social media posts and engagement.
Keep social media content relevant, timely, and impactful
Research best practices related to social media marketing and collegiate recreation.
Be familiar with various social media platforms.
Designs and produces graphics, video, and photo content for print, website, social media, digital display, etc.
Conceives, designs, and executes graphic projects (posters, brochures, flyers, social media sponsor content and event information) for Dining and Housing Departments, and events
Design social media content, print, and brand assets.
Create digital design elements to be used across e-mail marketing, social media and website
Assists the design team in the production of layouts, formatting, packaging, advertising, marketing collateral, and other published materials in print and online.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a UND student in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Must be in good conduct standing with the university

JOB SUMMARY:
The GraphicDesigner supports Beacon College's Enrollment Management marketing efforts by creating engaging, brand-aligned visual materials that elevate Beacon College's print, digital, and multimedia presence. This role produces graphics, brochures, and campaign assets; assists with light video editing for webinars and promotional content; and manages updates to enrollment-related webpages and content in WordPress and other Beacon College utilized Content Management Systems ("CMS") platforms. The GraphicDesigner position is responsible for collaborating with the whole Enrollment Management team, including divisional and departmental leadership and the Enrollment Marketing Coordinator, to ensure consistency, accuracy, and creativity across all materials.
DUTIES AND TASKS:
* Design and produce appropriate and effective branded print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, social graphics, presentation assets, and event materials using design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop;
* Support video editing and post-production efforts, as needed, including trimming, captioning, and segmenting recorded webinars and promotional videos utilizing video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro;
* Oversee Enrollment Management content updates, including the Center for College Readiness, in WordPress and related CMS platforms, ensuring accuracy, visual consistency, and brand effectiveness;
* Collaborate with the Enrollment Management team to develop creative assets for marketing enrollment campaigns, advertising, and social media;
* Maintain organized version control, templates, design libraries, and brand standards;
* Support photography asset management, as needed, with selecting, editing, and organizing assets;
* Occasional photography assignments as needed to support the divisional and organizational needs of the college;
* Coordinate and collaborate with internal partners to meet project timelines and deliverables;
* Support departmental administrative and operational needs, including, but not limited to, tracking project requests and archiving creative files; and
* Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge:
* Bachelor's degree preferred;
* Bachelor's degree in GraphicDesign, Digital Media, Marketing, or related field preferred;
* A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of related professional design experience required, with experience in higher education experience preferred;
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including but not limited to, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro;
* Familiarity and ability to utilize WordPress or similar CMS platforms;
* Working knowledge of accessibility standards, such as those developed in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines ("WCAG") for all digital and print communications;
* Basic understanding of photography and/or video production workflows; and
* Knowledge of file management, version control, and digital asset organization.
Skills:
* Strong graphicdesign skills with a clear sense of layout, typography, and brand application;
* Ability to produce high-quality print and digital materials using Adobe Creative Cloud;
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
* Excellent attention to detail, organization, and file management;
* Efficiently learns and navigates new platforms and technologies to support evolving operational needs; and
* Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with internal and external stakeholders.
Abilities:
* Ability to maintain a brand consistency across diverse materials and platforms;
* Ability to translate verbal concepts into compelling visual assets;
* Ability to receive product feedback regarding ongoing projects and iterate on designs to meet the needs of the organization;
* Ability to maintain a professional and patient approach when working with students, parents, and other Beacon College community members;
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders; and
* Availability to support occasional evening or weekend projects during peak enrollment periods as needed.
