Studentworkers with Experience UGA in the Mary Frances Early College of Education work with kindergarten children from elementary schools in the Clarke County School District using lesson plans designed to teach measuring and related concepts (tall/short, long/short, big/little). Studentworkers typically welcome children to the College, lead small groups through activities, and assist with their departure. Studentworkers are also responsible for setting up prior to the session and cleaning up afterward. Attending a training session and passing a background check to be completed prior to employment. Qualified studentworkers will work on Friday mornings and will be scheduled on an as-needed basis, up to 24 hours per semester.

Be enrolled in and actively attending classes on at least a half-time basis at a University System of Georgia institution during the employment period.

A copy of the evaluation form shall be maintained by the supervisor, and the original copy given to the Financial Aid Office. All student employees shall be evaluated at least once a year (end of Spring term or at the end of an assignment).

Job Summary
Art Studio Monitor/Wood Shop Monitor.
Responsibilities
Art studio monitors provide supervision to all Department of Art students who are required or wish to use the studios. They conduct periodic evening, night, and weekend walkthroughs of art production studios in the Corn Center for the Visual Arts, One Arsenal Place, and the Seaboard Depot on CSU s Riverpark Campus. Additionally, monitors will assist in the general upkeep and maintenance of the art department studios. Applicants should be prepared to work segments of weeknight walkthrough shifts from 5PM - 11PM and segments of weekend shifts from 8AM - 11PM or monitor labs between 8:30AM - 8:30PM. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: hourly studio inspections, ensuring students follow safety protocols, restocking of safety materials and performing general maintenance in studios or on machinery.
Wood Shop monitors provide supervision to all Department of Art students who are required or wish to use the Wood Shop (CORN 117). Wood Shop monitors will assist in the general upkeep and maintenance of the Wood Shop. Job Summary
Work Studies for the Counseling Center will serve in a receptionist / office worker role, greeting and assisting visitors and helping with the daily administrative activities of the office. This role does not involve any counseling work.
Responsibilities
Providing excellent customer service to CSU students and employees, as well as members of the public in-person and on the phone; copying, scanning, data entry, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* You must have been awarded Federal Work Study from the Financial Aid office to qualify. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please check with the Financial Aid office before you apply. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot offer this position to students who do not qualify for Federal Work Study aid due to funding.
* Must be able to assist students while maintaining their confidentiality.
* We are unable to hire students who have been clients of the Counseling Center, due to a conflict of interest.
* Interpersonal and communication skills, computer skills, ability to carry out tasks and goals independently.
* SPRING 2026: We are currently prioritizing applicants who can work 11 AM 3 PM and all-day Thursdays. We are offering 11 12 hours a week.

Proposed Salary
This position is offered only to students who have been awarded Federal Work Study. The pay is $8/hour if your allotment is $2,100 and $10/hour if your allotment is $2,500.

Nature of Duties: The mentor will work with Literacy Alliance adult learners to build confidence, a positive attitude about learning, and help learners improve basic reading, writing, math, and/or computer skills.
Duties include the following:
Meet with adult learner 1-2 times weekly at the Literacy Alliance building for sessions on topics based on the needs and goals of the learner.
To remain in good standing, tutors must commit to working regular hours and check-ins twice a month
Track learner participation by submitting volunteer hours worked and session notes
Communicate regularly with the literacy instructor in support of learner's continued growth

Employment Policy:
Columbus Technical College seeks an individual to serve as an adjunct clinical instructor in our Associate Degree Nursing program. This position will also require evaluating student progress in attaining goals and objectives, attending staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences, and ensuring all safety and security requirements are met in training labs.
