The Iowa River Landing Pathology Department is seeking a 100% Supervisor, Medical Laboratory Scientist; IRL is an offsite clinic for University of Iowa HealthCare, located in Coralville, Iowa. This role performs supervisory functions for staff within the lab at Iowa River Landing (IRL). Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Functions to facilitate quality, patient oriented and efficient operations of the clinical laboratory. Performs clinical laboratory analyses on biological specimens to provide information used in the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of disease. Working alongside a team of Medical Lab Technicians/Scientists, this role utilizes a variety of procedures involving highly complex analytical lab test methodology and techniques, performing quantitative and qualitative clinical laboratory analysis on biological specimens such as blood, tissue and body fluids.
