Min Qualifications: Graduation from an approved school of Respiratory Therapy with a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or other healthcare-related specialty and three (3) years of experience in respiratory care, to include at least two (2) years of critical care experience or Graduation from an approved school of Respiratory Therapy and five (5) years related experience, to include at least three (3) years of recent critical care experience. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and maintain credentials with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as well as licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the Texas Department of State Health Services. Conducts inter and intradepartmental respiratory care in-services at least once a year to patients, staff, or to the community. 8. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; Performs procedures, Adhere to standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. 9. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization. 10. Other duties as assigned. Certification/Skills: * Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required * Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board (TMB) required * Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Minimum Education: Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or Respiratory Therapy preferred. Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of clinical experience with RRT and an Associate's degree; OR Three (3) years of clinical experience with RRT and a Bachelor's degree. At least one year of listed experience in a Pulmonary Function Testing Lab may be required based on role. Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
