Our caseload is very manageable with approximately 400 autopsies shared among three pathologists. There is no general surgical pathology or hospital AP/CP associated with this position. "On call" for the forensic pathologist refers to consulting with death investigators while scheduled on call. Scene response is not required by the forensic pathologist unless under very rare circumstances the forensic pathologist feels the need to attend. There is no physical weekend or holiday call, only phone coverage. The position is a unique opportunity to build a strong and innovative pathology practice dedicated to excellence in death investigation, forensic and autopsy, and specialty areas of pathology. Excellent relationships exist between ND pathology groups, local government, and law enforcement communities.     Valley City State University invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor for Kinesiology and Human Performance Tenure-Track The primary responsibility of this position is to teach coursework in the Strength and Conditioning degree program. Courses within the Strength and Conditioning Specialist degree program are also required or elective courses in all degree programs in the Department of Kinesiology and Human Performance. Teaching responsibilities include 12 credits per semester (Fall and Spring) in a combination of face-to-face and online environments. In addition to teaching, this position will serve as the field experience coordinator. Service to the university, engagement in professional development opportunities, advising, and departmental participation are also expected. Other main duties may include: * Develop, enhance, and teach face-to-face and online courses. * Assist with the CASCE CSCS accreditation process. * Recruit and advise diverse student populations. * Engage in appropriate service to the department, university, and academic community. * Develop professionally, stay current with course content, and work to enhance student learning and engagement. Minimum Qualifications * A master's degree exercise science, kinesiology, or closely related content area. * Minimum of 18 graduate credits in related field of teaching. * Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Certified or CSCS eligible. * Willingness to teach both face-to-face on campus and in the online format. Preferred Qualifications * Experience as an exercise physiologist, strength and conditioning specialist, or similar profession. * Teaching experience in higher education. * Course and curriculum development experience. * Experience working with an online Learning Management System (LMS) such as Blackboard. * Demonstrate effective use of technology and other innovative teaching methods in the classroom and online learning environment. * Experience advising students. Compensation: The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and typically ranges from $47,000 to $52,000 annually pending experience and qualifications. This position is a 9-month, full-time position. In some cases, summer duties may be arranged through an additional contract.
