The cardiac surgical program holds an STS 3-star rating for CABG. UM SJMC's cardiac surgical case mix includes coronary bypass, valvular replacement and repair, surgical minimally invasive aortic and mitral valve replacement/repair, and complex combined procedures. There is a busy structural heart program performing TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, and PFO/ASD closure. The team also covers a robust EP program for ablations and devices. ECMO/Impella are utilized. No VADs/Transplants. Physician only group. No supervision. Proficiency in ultra-sound guided blocks and basic regional techniques is preferred.
