A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), under medical direction, provides treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the Pulmonary System. The RRT assesses patient who require respiratory care by interview, physical examination of the chest and review of the patient's chart and chest x-rays. The RRT provides respiratory care by administration of medicated aerosol treatments, IPPB, ultrasonic nebulization, chest physiotherapy, incentive spirometry, humidification, and oxygen therapy. This position encompasses the Anne Arundel County region of Maryland and includes equal coverage of our centers located in Glen Burnie and Pasadena, MD. UM Urgent Care providers are the leaders of our urgent care facilities, providing excellent care to our patients, creating signature patient experiences and working as a close-knit team with medical assistants and x-ray technologists. The candidate must successfully complete hospital orientation and departmental based orientation programs and possess and maintain a current BCLS certification.
