Job Summary
The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) has a great opportunity for a self-driven, creative, and analytical thinker with great communication skills to join the LSA Technology Services management team. We are seeking an OS Programmer Intermediate to join a team of 9 infrastructure staff. This role will report to the Infrastructure Manager and be an integral part of managing our Windows endpoints, along with other server administration tasks. The position is designed as a hybrid role, offering a dynamic mix of in-person and remote work. After-hours work is an infrequent occurrence.
The target salary range for this position is $70,000 - $81,200

Responsibilities*
About The Job
We work with other LSA Technology Services teams, technology teams across campus, and directly with faculty, researchers, and administrators. This team provides and supports an array of technologies that advance the college's and the university's mission. This role will be directly involved in supporting our Windows endpoints with two Senior System Administrators. This work will include packaging software, updating and improving our Windows device build processes, and working with tier 2 support teams to troubleshoot issues and build new processes. The work will also include using Windows tools like Active Directory, Entra ID, and InTune to ensure proper configuration and compliance of our Windows environment. Our environments have a heavy emphasis on research and instruction and provide many opportunities to develop new approaches while still meeting university and college policies and expectations.
As an OS Programmer Intermediate, you'll work directly with other system administrators to support various server environments. This work will include regular server patching, proactive monitoring, configuration and testing backups, and disaster recovery plans. You'll work with the Security team to ensure security requirements are met. You will also have opportunities to drive
exploration of new technologies and approaches through recurring activities that focus on team innovation. This work involves both physical and virtual servers and collaboration with remote and in-person teams so in-person work will be required from time to time.

Required Qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 2 years of experience with Windows Configuration Manager, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), or InTune
* Minimum 2 years of experience with Windows server administration
* Proficient in the use of Powershell for administration of endpoints at scale. Examples will be requested
Desired Qualifications*
* Server virtualization experience: VMware, Hyper-V, or comparable products

Strong analytic, organizational, project management, as well as verbal and written communication skills are critical to this role.
The MVC is a statewide hospital and physician organization consortium, aiming to improve the health of Michigan through sustainable, high-value healthcare and enable Michigan patients to access the right care, at the right cost, at the right time.
The Lead Data Analyst will be assigned to leading a dedicated project aimed at demonstrating the impact, value, and return on investment of the Collaborative Quality Initiatives (CQIs). In this role, the Lead Analyst gathers and analyzes data from various databases and other sources; cleans and constructs datasets; performs statistical programming; and provides analytic and technical assistance to the wider project team. The Lead Data Analyst will utilize medical claims datasets, among other sources, to evaluate the impact of specific CQI initiatives on healthcare outcomes and cost.
In this position, you will work with a highly collaborative group of clinicians, policy experts, statisticians, economists, health services researchers, and other MVC analysts. Responsibilities*
* Write and edit programs to clean, manage, merge, maintain, and analyze data, including large data sets (millions of observations)
* Extract, transform, and merge raw data from various data sources into usable forms, and construct datasets according to the specifications provided
* Design, create and implement programs and templates to collect, display and analyze data
* Perform statistical programming utilizing a variety of statistical software packages to summarize data and create reports and/or visual presentations
* Conduct advanced statistical analysis, with support and supervision, such as multilevel regression modeling, survival analysis, and causal inference methods including difference-in-differences, instrumental variables analysis, interrupted time series, and regression discontinuity designs
* Design and prepare standard and ad hoc reports
* Design and prepare summaries for statistical analysis and planning purposes
* Document procedures for future reference and make recommendations for data analysis process improvements
* Present analytic methods and new approaches to accomplishing goals internally and externally
Required Qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position
* Minimum 5 years of experience analyzing and interpreting process data, clinical outcomes, and costs of care
* Demonstrated proficiency working with large administrative datasets using statistical software programs (STATA, SAS, R), data visualization, statistical models, and significance testing
* Strong organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing demands and prioritize to meet deadlines
* Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

Job Description
After medical records are coded in Medical Information Management (MIM), the Coding Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring accuracy of coding assignment via random auditing of medical record coding and accuracy of MS-DRGS. In addition, the manager is responsible for completing 3M APC Software claim edits and responding to requests from the Central Business Office (CBO) regarding documentation required for compliance with CMS' National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) and Outpatient Code Editor (OCE) edits. The analyst is responsible for providing feedback to the Manager of Data Quality regarding coding quality and makes recommendations for improving coding accuracy.
Position Summary
The position is primarily responsible for coding quality improvement. This staff member reviews randomly selected and focused medical records for accurate selection of appropriate admitting and discharge diagnoses, ICD9-CM procedures and CPT4 procedures. The analyst uses the encoding and abstracting system and other resources to ensure complete and accurate coding, DRG/MS-DRG assignment for hospital reimbursement, research and planning. The analyst keeps detailed records of all audits conducted, the results, recommendations, and follows-up to assure action is taken. The analyst advises medical record coding specialist on coding guidelines and practices as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Health Information Management, and a minimum of 3-5 years medical center outpatient coding experience (ICD10-CM and CPT) for service types such as emergency, outpatient, ambulatory surgery, observation, and series/clinics. Bachelor's degree in Health Information Administration or equivalent degree preferred. Considerable progressively responsible administrative medical information management experience required knowledge and experience with electronic health records and health information management applications required. Certifications can include: Registered Health Information Record Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) by the American Health Information Management Association, COC (outpatient credential only).
