About the Job The University of Minnesota invites applications for a 9-month faculty position in Native American Nutrition and Food Systems at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences. The appointment will typically consist of 50% research and 50% teaching, but appointment percentages may vary depending on the qualifications and seniority of the appointee.
This position will be a nine-month, tenured appointment involving research and teaching that supports the mission of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition. The appointee is expected to develop a strong extramurally funded research program that investigates the relationship between diet, lifestyle and health of Native American individuals, urban and/or tribal communities. The research program should be representative of the diversity of tribal communities in Minnesota. Expectations include leadership in organizing nutrition and food-related scholarly and community events, such as the Native American Nutrition Conference. The appointee is expected to develop and maintain strong and respectful relationships with tribal communities and develop collaborations with other investigators within the Department, the College, and the University, such as the Academic Health Center, the Extension Department for Family, Health and Wellbeing, and the School of Public Health. The appointee will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in nutrition, food systems, and related areas. Advising will include undergraduate, M.S., and Ph.D. students.

Qualifications
Required
* Earned doctorate in Nutrition, food science, food systems, public health or a related field, with training and experience in community-based participatory research in nutrition, public health, or food systems; demonstrated experience working closely with Native American and/or Alaska Natives on issues related to nutrition, public health, and the food system; strong motivation to build a research program with Minnesota tribal communities; evidence of strong research and administration skills; including demonstrated experience in the management of large research projects, the organization of conferences and scholarly events, fundraising, and the supervision of staff members published research in peer reviewed scholarly journals; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and commitment to diversity and inclusion; tenured or eligible for tenure at Assoc/Full professor rank.

Specifically, PCRC's research is focused on studying the effects of improving the welfare of animals used in biomedical models, thus enhancing the translational value of animal models used in biomedical research. As such, the employee must have interest in cooperative handling, enrichment, and animal husbandry (behavioral management) with rodents, pigs, and nonhuman primates. The translational and high regulatory research completed at PCRC requires attention to detail and the ability to follow precise written protocols that adhere to GLP regulations.
The employee will learn how to provide and be responsible for daily behavioral management, care, enrichment, and nurturing to animals by preparing food, cleaning enclosures,
and maintaining the Center facility. They will receive training, in becoming proficient in transfer, handling, specialized individual care, and will begin to acquire skills in Colony Management. Additionally, the employee will perform research and related tasks in animal husbandry in evaluating the influence on animal welfare and scientific outcomes.
The Center has a unique focus on primates, so while employees will be working with a variety of animals, they should have a strong interest in working with monkeys as this is an entry-level position in primate care, behavioral management and research. The employee will participate in center support by training new volunteers, keeping detailed records and reporting on the status of the animals, making updates and revisions to SOPs, and handle specimens or equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. * Perform NIH, JDRF and business & industry funded research focused on the role of husbandry as it relates to animal welfare, scientific outcomes, and support of the Program Director's scientific welfare philosophy

* Performs record-keeping tasks, including recording of: biscuit consumption, daily enrichment offerings, supplies used, senior staff communications, census information, etc.

JOB SUMMARY
The Dispatch and Operations Lead is responsible for the overall operation of the Hamline University Public Safety 24-hour Communications Center. This role includes monitoring and managing security communications systems and providing accurate information and assistance to the campus community.
In addition to overseeing Public Safety dispatch operations, the Dispatch and Operations Lead will manage the campus parking program and supervise the Anderson Student Center Welcome Desk. Madison's technology economy is growing rapidly, and the region is home to the headquarters of Epic Systems, Exact Sciences, Sub-Zero, and Land's End, as well as many biotech, healthcare IT, and health systems startups. In the Fall of 2023, Wisconsin was designated as a Tech Hub by the Economic Development Administration (EDA), which resulted in a grant award of up to $75 million to help accelerate growth of the state's bio health industry. Phase 2 of the Wisconsin Biotech hub was announced in July 2024, resulting in $49 million in additional funding to help drive transformative medical innovation, workforce development and critical job growth across Wisconsin. About the Job PART-TIME UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA POLICE OFFICERS The University of Minnesota Police Department (UMPD) is hiring police officers to work part-time to provide police services at Gopher football games and other large scale special events. The game-day operations are based out of a Command Center in the Huntington Bank Stadium staffed by a UMPD command staff designee and dispatcher as well as athletics, facilities, and emergency management personnel. While working at the Huntington Bank Stadium, officers from other jurisdictions will be under the command of the UMPD. Officers from other jurisdictions are licensed as University of Minnesota peace officers via the P.O.S.T. Board's "secondary" licensing option.
Officers are provided UMPD uniform shirts, a turtleneck, a jacket, an earpiece and a stocking cap. The officer must provide and wear all other uniform equipment and apparel and have been provided with the UMPD uniform policy. The UMPD does not provide any other uniforms, equipment, or weapons.
Officers will be assigned in pairs when possible, with direct communication to the Command Center. Officers are asked to provide an 800 MHz portable radio from their full-time department, if possible. If this is not possible, officers will be issued at least one UMPD 800 MHz portable on a game by game basis.
Insurance coverage typical to University employment will be provided by the University of Minnesota, including worker's compensation and liability insurance. Neither part-time officers nor the University will pay into the P.E.R.A. system and part-time officers will not accrue vacation, sick, or compensatory time nor be eligible for union benefits. Officers must be on a non-probationary status in their home departments.
Officers must acknowledge UMPD's Use of Force policies, Detention Facility and Custodial Search policies, and Personal Appearance policies. Records of firearms certification and defensive tactics from their full-time departments as well as records of First Responder/EMT certification, if applicable, are maintained in a training file, along with records of training from the UMPD. For the 2025 season, the University of Minnesota will pay part-time officers $80/hour.

The ADRCs have come together as a consortium to focus on a set of joint objectives that will propel the entire field. The consortium will use advanced brain imaging and fluid biomarkers to identify the multiple causes and their associated temporal characteristics that lead to eventual dementia. It is this additional disease burden that our consortium will bring to light by developing tools for more accurate diagnosis and staging of disease(s). The consortium, headquartered at UW-Madison, is funded by NIH and will bring resources at an unprecedented scale to the network of ADRCs.
This position will serve as the Research Imaging Data Coordinator responsible for overseeing the acquisition, quality control, and management of imaging data to support research activities for the CLARiTI study. While other staff members may focus more on counseling, professional judgment, and relational case management, this position anchors the technical, operational, and automation functions of the financial aid operation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Systems Ownership and Automation
Serve as the institution's technical expert for Jenzabar Financial Aid [JFA], including configuration, maintenance, workflow design, and optimization
Build, configure, test, and validate automated packaging logic, algorithmic rules, budget structures, and eligibility calculations for all academic years and student populations
Conduct system testing and quality assurance for awarding, disbursements, and communications prior to mass awarding
Design and maintain automated workflows, population selections, and batch processes to maximize efficiency and reduce manual intervention
Identify system improvements, coordinate enhancements with It and Jenzabar, and lead implementation of new features or regulatory updates
Data Integrity and Technical Compliance
Ensure accuracy of all financial aid-related data between SIS, JFA, COD, NSLDS, EdConnect, and other integrated platforms
Oversee the origination, disbursement, reconciliation, and reporting of Federal Direct Loans, Pell/TEACH Grants, State Grant programs, MN SELF, and private loans
