Position:
The UMN is offering an outstanding opportunity for full or part time faculty positions in Medical Imaging at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Preference will be given for a full-time vs. part-time position.
Position Description:
Successful candidates will work with the Medical Imaging team to advance exceptional clinical care, teaching, and research. Responsibilities upon hire will include: clinical service of small and large animal diagnostic radiology and contrast procedures, small animal ultrasonography, CT, MRI, nuclear scintigraphy, and consultations to clinical faculty and house officers; clinical instruction to interns, residents, and professional students; and personal development and discipline/non-discipline related service to the UMN-CVM and other professional organizations. The percentage of time allocated for clinical service, teaching, and research is negotiable depending on the candidate's professional goals and experience. The option to participate in teleradiology consulting is negotiable.
Clinical Opportunities:
The UMN Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) is a tertiary referral service hospital with specialists in most disciplines. The VMC is one of the nation's most prominent academic veterinary centers serving the Midwestern States and Central Canada. Clinicians provide top-tier innovative care advancing the fields of radiation and medical oncology, neurology, interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, surgery, internal medicine, and other areas of veterinary medicine. Clinical collaborations with specialists from the School of Medicine and associated medical centers are common.
The hospital is well-equipped state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including:
● Siemens Prisma 3T MRI system with full advanced imaging and research capabilities
● Siemens Drive dual-source 128-slice CT with cardiac gating
● Two Samsung RS80A and one RS85 Prestige ultrasound units
● Vet Ray and Philips DR and Kodak CR
● Philips ProxiDiagnost N90 digital fluoroscopy

Additionally, the equine center is equipped with:

PET-CT is available at the nearby on-campus Center for Clinical Imaging Research.
The diagnostic radiology aspects have been structured around Carestream PACS, which is fully integrated with Nuance PowerScribe 360 speech recognition capabilities.
Research Opportunities:
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in independent and/or collaborative research that advances basic, translational, and/or clinical medical imaging and its applications. The UMN Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) recently installed a state-of-the-art Siemens Prisma 3T MRI scanner with full research and advanced imaging capabilities. This system allows investigators to leverage the strengths of the UMN Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, one of the top MRI research centers in the world. Our Medical Imaging team includes a faculty MRI research scientist whose Comparative MRI Research Lab provides opportunities for MRI research collaboration and training. The VMC also recently installed a state-of-the-art dual-source Siemens Drive CT scanner. This system will advance collaborative research in cardiology and radiation oncology. Other new, major research equipment in the VMC includes an interventional radiology suite and a Varian Edge linear accelerator. The VMC has also invested in ultrasound equipment with elastography, contrast ultrasound, and image fusion capabilities. These major investments in research infrastructure have been supported by the CVM, Medical School, and the Office for Vice President of Research, with the
goal of advancing comparative research to benefit both animals and people.
Imaging of animals at the VMC and other sites on campus is facilitated by the Clinical Investigation Center (CIC) and Research Animal Resources (RAR). CIC supports preclinical and clinical imaging studies with technical infrastructure, budgeting assistance, and study coordination according to GCP and GLP guidelines. RAR provides support for laboratory animal research, including rodent studies. There are numerous opportunities for cooperative, team science-based research at the UMN outside the CVM, including the Department of Radiology, Department of Neurology, Department of Radiation Oncology, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, and Masonic Cancer Center. Numerous intramural and extramural funding opportunities are available, including (but not limited to) the Comparative Medicine Signature Program, CVM Resident and Graduate Student Grants program, Masonic Cancer Center funding opportunities, Clinical and Translational Science Institute K and R Scholar Development Grants, MnDRIVE program, and UMN-Mayo Clinic Partnership Program. Teaching Opportunities & Professional Development:
Faculty are expected to participate in teaching and/or mentoring activities for interns, residents, DVM, and graduate students. Support and instruction for teaching is provided by the CVM Academic and Student Affairs Office and the Center for Educational Innovation (including the Early Career Teaching and Learning Program). For faculty with a focus on teaching, there are several applied research opportunities in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) that aid in assessing the impact of new and innovative teaching practices. Leadership, communication, and other professional development training is also available across campus.

Qualifications
Requirements:
DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree. Preference will be given to individuals who are board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. However, board-eligible applicants who will have successfully completed a Radiology/Imaging residency by the employment start date are also encouraged to apply. The applicant must be eligible for Minnesota state veterinary faculty licensure.

About the Job . The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to serve as a veterinarian in a new Spectrum of Care Clinic, which is slated to open late 2025. The candidate in this position will work closely with clinic leadership and other staff veterinarians to ensure veterinary students receive top-tier clinical education and experiences beginning from day 1. This position will work directly with students in all years of the DVM curriculum to provide mentorship and support while students practice primary case ownership, clinical problem solving, time management, and spectrum of care medicine.
The UMN CVM is dedicated to providing an integrated, competency-focused curriculum that provides students with goal-direct feedback and ensures students are learning in an environment that encourages curiosity, vulnerability, and resilience; emphasizes problem-solving over memorization and accepts failure as part of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Instruction: (80%)
* Contributing to experiential learning by serving as a faculty coach in the Spectrum of Care (SOC) Clinic, supporting student-doctor roles and coaching students, who will have 100% interaction with the clients, in real-time. Coaching responsibilities will be to round with students on their cases, approve student-proposed diagnostic and treatment plans, and teach direct clinical or procedural skills in real time.
* Lead rounds or other targeted training on Spectrum of Care clinical topics such as feline urethral obstruction management, Parvovirus outpatient treatment options, palliative care (specific topics to be determined based on clinical interest).
* Collaborate as needed with other services, departments and clinical skills training to build new opportunities for enhanced hands-on clinical opportunities for students in all 4 years of veterinary medical education.
* Guide students through all steps of primary case management such as client communication, application of clinical or surgical skills, development of diagnostic and treatment plans, time management, and professional skills.
* Be part of the initial clinical team building and provide input on implementation and development of the clinic's curriculum.
Research and/or Didactic (15%):
* Opportunities for contribution to research within the emerging field of Spectrum of Care medicine and effective teaching practices

Outreach/service (5%):

Minimum Qualifications
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent. The applicant must be eligible for the Minnesota state Veterinary specialty faculty licensure or the standard MN Veterinary Licensure.
* Minimum of 3 years of clinical veterinary practice experience in a primary care, spectrum of care, urgent care, ER receiving, or community practice clinical setting in small animal practice. An internship can count towards this, but is not required.
* Demonstrated ability to provide excellent veterinary service across a spectrum of different levels of care into financially viable options for patients and clients.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaboration and building relationships.
* Demonstrated ability to problem solve and engage in conflict resolution when necessary to mentor and support students in a clinical educational environment.
* Ability to teach surgical and dentistry skills preferred.

**REQUIREMENTS**

Job Summary
A unique opportunity exists to help found a new undergraduate nursing program at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, Winona Campus. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Pre-Licensure program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and accredited by Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The first cohort of freshman nursing students began their studies in Fall 2021 and graduated in May 2025. 100% of graduates passed the NCLEX on their first attempt and are licensed as RN's.
As a member of the founding team, the Nursing Faculty will join the curriculum development already underway. We continue to refine the newly designed nursing courses and clinical rotations for four cohorts of nursing students. The nursing curriculum uses a concept-based approach to teaching and a competency-based approach to assessment. Canvas Online Learning Platform, ATI learning resources, and CAE and Gaumard simulation technology are utilized to enhance student learning. The Nursing Faculty member develops, teaches, monitors, and evaluates courses in the baccalaureate pre-licensure program. Responsibilities may be a mix of classroom, skills lab, simulation, and clinical as suited to the individual faculty member's area of expertise.

About the Job Mathematics Faculty (Tenure-track, Assistant Professor) Center for Learning Innovation The Center for Learning Innovation (CLI), an interdisciplinary department focused on health sciences at the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR), invites applications for a full-time tenure-line faculty position (tenure-track , assistant professor) in mathematics beginning fall semester 2026. The appointment will be 100% over the nine-month academic year with responsibilities in research at 45%, teaching 40%, and service 15%.
Successful applicants will develop an active research line in the fields of scholarship of teaching and learning and/or a discipline-based education research. The required research productivity is outlined in Section 7.12 of the Regents Policy on Faculty Tenure.
We are seeking applicants who have significant interest in supporting student learning in a high-contact, in-person teaching model. This faculty member will work collaboratively and creatively with an established faculty team, teaching first year, entry level university mathematics and statistics courses for health sciences undergraduate students. The successful applicant will have experience supporting a diverse student body population as UMR has growing populations of students of color and first generation college students.
About the UMR Center for Learning Innovation. The new mathematics faculty member will join colleagues in the Center for Learning Innovation (CLI), an interdisciplinary department that focuses on undergraduate education in health sciences and engages students as participants in research on learning.
