    About the Job Aanji'bide (Changing our Paths) is a National Institutes of Health-funded research collaboration between a rural Anishinaabe Native Nation and the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus (Principal Investigator - Brenna Greenfield). The purpose of this project is to support and learn about how people using drugs decide if and when to change their drug use, and how Anishinaabe healing practices can support this process. The Aanji'bide Community Research Helper position is based on or near the Anishinaabe Native Nation. The primary goal of this position is to complete several Talking Circles that are part of Ginaadamaadimin (We Help Each Other), a sub-study of Aanji'bide. Position is for 10 hours/week, with mileage reimbursement available for necessary travel beyond going to and from work. Must have own transportation. The position is open until filled, and start date is in January of 2026. The position will run through May 31, 2026. If the grant is approved for another year, there is the possibility of an extension. Suggest and implement any needed modifications. * Represent the project in the community. * Oversee and facilitate talking circles, manage research data, supervise talking circle facilitators and any administrative support. * Managing the contact process for potential participants and invite eligible individuals to participate in the Talking Circles. * Communicate with Community Action Board, Community Partners, and other team members to complete Talking Circles and work through any questions that arise. * Other duties as assigned.     About the Job The Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI), in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD), is expanding our research support team with the addition of several assessment technician data collection staff. These positions are part-time hourly appointments with variable hours based on the data collection and research support needs across various projects, including some evening and weekend work to accommodate study participants. We are seeking multiple Assessment Technicians to support research and evaluation projects that focus on social and behavioral sciences, education, and the wellbeing of children and families. All Assessment Technicians receive training in conducting human participant research, as well as project-specific protocol training related to recruitment and informed consent, data collection, fidelity procedures, data entry, coding and cleaning, etc. The primary responsibility of Assessment Technicians is to conduct data collection with study participants including parents, youth, teachers and/or other providers. Data collection may take place both virtually and in-person at various locations including the CAREI office on the St. Paul campus, through home visits, as well as at partnering schools and/or community agencies. Data collection activities may include administration of surveys, behavior- and performance-based tasks, facilitating interaction tasks, focus groups/interviews, and classroom observations. The ideal candidates will have prior educational, social/behavioral or clinical research experience, as well as experience working with children, teens and/or families. The program director serves as the academic and operational leader of the 25 credit certificate program. Maintain standards of clinical performance in accordance with institutional objectives; professional standards of practice; and regulatory and accreditation agency standards. Coordinate practicum program development; maintain records, develop a handbook of practicum policies and procedures, recommend policy and procedure changes. Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with practicum site supervisors, practicum instructors, other clinical faculty and students. Collaborate with other program directors and faculty regarding the dual track/license process. Develop and supervise the practicum seminar instructors. Maintain contact with the credentialing agencies for addiction studies counselors and other licensure boards related to the fields of counseling and social work to uphold academic and professional requirements including dual licensure. Student Engagement Evaluate applications for admission, manage interviews, and make recommendations to Admissions. Direct student advising and orientation to the program. Collaborate with Admissions and Student Central to implement a communication strategy to yield admitted students. Advise prospective and current students on their educational goals and degree and licensure requirements. Oversee course sequencing and progress to ensure alignment programmatic needs. Minimum five years clinical experience as a LADC required. Holds current LADC license. Dual licensure in Social Work and LADC or Counseling and LADC is strongly preferred. Experience working with MN requirements for LADC licensure. Demonstrated commitment to the LADC profession, continuing education in the field, and to serving marginalized populations. Experience in higher education is preferred which includes teaching, program development. and/or administration.     About the Job PART-TIME UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA POLICE OFFICERS The University of Minnesota Police Department (UMPD) is hiring police officers to work part-time to provide police services at Gopher football games and other large scale special events. The game-day operations are based out of a Command Center in the Huntington Bank Stadium staffed by a UMPD command staff designee and dispatcher as well as athletics, facilities, and emergency management personnel. While working at the Huntington Bank Stadium, officers from other jurisdictions will be under the command of the UMPD. Officers from other jurisdictions are licensed as University of Minnesota peace officers via the P.O.S.T. Board's "secondary" licensing option. Officers are provided UMPD uniform shirts, a turtleneck, a jacket, an earpiece and a stocking cap. The officer must provide and wear all other uniform equipment and apparel and have been provided with the UMPD uniform policy. The UMPD does not provide any other uniforms, equipment, or weapons. Officers will be assigned in pairs when possible, with direct communication to the Command Center. Officers are asked to provide an 800 MHz portable radio from their full-time department, if possible. If this is not possible, officers will be issued at least one UMPD 800 MHz portable on a game by game basis. Insurance coverage typical to University employment will be provided by the University of Minnesota, including worker's compensation and liability insurance. Neither part-time officers nor the University will pay into the P.E.R.A. system and part-time officers will not accrue vacation, sick, or compensatory time nor be eligible for union benefits. Officers must be on a non-probationary status in their home departments.     About the Job The AI-enabled Software Development Program Lead is a temporary, part-time, non- for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The Program Lead is responsible for aligning the program with the skill needs in the program's industry or occupation. This will include interviewing other industry experts, recommending program-level curriculum (i.e. program name, program description, program outcomes, outcomes for the courses that comprise the program), participating in course SME and instructor search committees, advising course SMEs and instructors, and recommending program and course revisions. The AI-enabled Software Development Certificate will be a non-credit professional development certificate program. The goal of the program is to equip professionals who do not have a coding background with the skills to develop software using AI-enabled coding. It will consist of 2-4 courses. Each course will be 4-8 weeks in length and include 4-5 hours of asynchronous learning per week and a 60-90 minute Zoom session each week. In general, information will be delivered using asynchronous media (e.g. recorded video) and synchronous sessions will be used for interactive conversation and activities that invite learners to engage and apply information. Learners will be assessed using authentic assessments that simulate real-world application of skills. The Program Lead will be initially appointed for a 4-month period during the design phase of the program. That initial appointment may be extended into a development phase and an ongoing annual appointment. During the design phase of the program (4 months), this will be a .08 FTE appointment. Design and Revise Program Curriculum 70% 1. Create and update program description. 2. Create and update clear, succinct, and measurable program outcomes. 3. Create and update a list of required and/or elective courses in the program. 4. Write course descriptions and outcomes so the courses are aligned with the program outcomes. 5. Annually review and revise the program-level curriculum, including: program description, program outcomes, the list of required and/or elective courses in the program, course names, course descriptions, and course outcomes. 6. Annually review each course in the program and collaborate with instructors to make changes based on learner feedback, instructor feedback, and industry changes. 7. Follow the requirements laid out in the course development handbook. 8. Assist with developing solutions for workforce development clients Advise Course SMEs and Instructors 30% 1. Collaborate with course SMEs and instructors to programmatically align courses. 2.
