About the Job The Hormel Institute is seeking to work with nutrition researchers who are interested in conducting dietary interviews and/or assisting with intervention delivery. This role provides the employee with the opportunity to conduct diet interviews over the phone or deliver nutrition interventions. The research assistant can work remotely. This opportunity offers direct involvement in participant-facing activities. Successful candidates will gain hands-on training in dietary recall methods or applied public health nutrition strategies. It is strongly encouraged that successful candidates continue in this role for a year. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as dietary recalls must be conducted based on participant availability. The employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
Focus of Job Responsibilities
* Participate in virtual training sessions on conducting 24-hour dietary recalls remotely (5%)
* Participate in research team meetings and discussion sessions (5%)
* Conduct dietary recalls via phone based on the participant's availability (up to 90%)
* Support the launch and delivery of digital nutrition studies, including participant engagement (up to 40%)
* Assist with study documentation, data entry, and organization of participant materials (up to 10%)

The Department of Medicine offers a unique opportunity for an Imaging Data Coordinator to support the ADRC Consortium for Clarity in Alzheimer's and Related Dementia Research Through Imaging (CLARiTI) study. This position will collaborate with the network of Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers (ADRCs), which are spread across the country. The ADRCs have come together as a consortium to focus on a set of joint objectives that will propel the entire field. The consortium will use advanced brain imaging and fluid biomarkers to identify the multiple causes and their associated temporal characteristics that lead to eventual dementia. It is this additional disease burden that our consortium will bring to light by developing tools for more accurate diagnosis and staging of disease(s). The consortium, headquartered at UW-Madison, is funded by NIH and will bring resources at an unprecedented scale to the network of ADRCs.
This position will serve as the Research Imaging Data Coordinator responsible for overseeing the acquisition, quality control, and management of imaging data to support research activities for the CLARiTI study. The incumbent will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of research data, while serving as a key resource for faculty, staff, students, and collaborating study sites. The coordinator will provide technical expertise in imaging data handling, database management, programming, and study documentation to facilitate high-quality research outcomes.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Review, Remediation, Coding and Educate on Billing and Coding / Reimbursement Opportunities
In charge of ensuring billing and coding of all Profee and Technical components for Radiation Oncology in Gamma Knife, which includes coding, modifier application and apply correct coding initiatives
Implement and maintain reports and work lists using various software applications such as Epic (Cogito), BOE, Visio, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Mosaiq
Collaborate with internal customers to assess information requirements and develop special custom and production reports to meet those needs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
6 to 8 years' Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) in Business, Healthcare Administration, IT, analytical sciences or equivalent applicable experience in Hospital Information Systems, Patient Financial Services (billing / claim follow-up), HIM / Coding and /or Hospital Clinic or Department Operations (charging / charge capture expertise)
At least 3 years in Hospital Information Systems / IT, Patient Financial Services, HIM / Coding or Clinical Department positions as a lead or other similar position where analysis and problem-solving skills have been demonstrated.
Minimum 5 years of experience performing progressively more complex and responsible tasks.
Working knowledge of charge functions in hospital billing and department systems, and data / reporting related to HIM / Coding and Patient Access / ADT processes.
Demonstrated excellence in both internal and external customer interaction and written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer focus and management of customer expectations; ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in a variety of groups.

Specific Duties
Use a designated folder in Microsoft Teams to store all work (interview transcripts, profiles, images) related to the Urban Forestry Career Profile Project
Meet with project lead to develop project plan
Participate in bi-weekly check-ins with project lead to discuss progress
Review interview transcripts and notes
Draft career profiles in narrative format
Use AI to check the reading level of profiles and adjust to be at a 6th-8th grade reading level
