Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and
* One (1) year of experience operating agricultural equipment. Additional years of completed relevant education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
* Knowledge of basic agronomic principles used in the production of forage crops.
* Knowledge and ability to operate and adjust agriculture field equipment in addition to basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
* Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
* EPA Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License
* NRD certified nitrogen license

The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in an ambitious new multidisciplinary initiative in the study of engineering and technology in healthcare delivery that includes faculty across the UNMC campus. The position offers numerous opportunities for interdisciplinary research collaborations throughout the university. Candidates for this academic position should have a PhD or MD/PhD degree with specific training and expertise in human factors/ergonomics. The successful candidate should have the expertise needed for the integration of older and cognitively impaired individuals into the design of healthcare tools, interfaces and systems. Relevant expertise includes human factors engineering, human systems integration, simulation, patient safety, electronic health records, smart homes, the built environment and use of remote sensor data for monitoring patient physiology, mobility, transportation, behavior and health in the field. The DONS features outstanding strengths in movement disorders, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, multiple sclerosis, and other conditions, and includes neuroimaging (including MEG ).
