As a Custodian, you will: * Perform routine work in cleaning and general upkeep of academic buildings including offices, halls, conference rooms, classrooms, restrooms, and locker and shower rooms. * Scrub, strip, refinish, and polish floors using heavy industrial-type powered scrubbing and buffing machines. * Vacuum and clean carpets using industrial-type vacuum cleaners and carpet extractors. * Mix cleaning solution per instructions. * Collect and dispose of refuse. * Remove snow and ice from the steps of the building area(s). * Move objects weighing 50 pounds or more such as furniture, tables, and chairs for special events. Schedule & Location: * Position is based at Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension, and Education Center (ENREEC), located in Saunders County and serves different areas. * Full-time or part-time position available. * Part-time is 20+ hours per week. * Full-time includes 2-3 regular workdays in Saunders County, with the remaining days at our Lincoln campus. Continuous supervision and specific guidance for training and development will be provided to Custodian I level positions and Custodian II, III, or IV will be regularly assessed to ensure appropriate level and advancement through routinely perform the skills associated with each level.     The Landscape Evolution and Luminescence Geochronology Laboratory at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln studies how landscapes evolve and change due to environmental and anthropogenic drivers. Much of the lab's work involves dating sediments or artifacts with luminescence dating methods. As a Geology Research Technician, you will: * Process sediment samples and analyze sediment and soil samples in the laboratory. Analyses will include dating sediments with optically-stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating and particle size analysis of samples using a laser diffraction particle size analyzer. * Subsample sediment and soil cores for analysis. * Assist with generating materials for publications, including geologic maps and other manuscripts.     Primary Function: Under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for making independent decisions and coordinating the appropriate Athletic Training Services for athletes, by evaluating physical condition and athletic injuries, advises and treats athletes to maintain health and physical fitness for participation in college athletics. Serves as liaison between FMP and UComm departments on messaging, branding, and other tasks to disseminate information and updates to the campus community. Assists with campus and community outreach, in person and through social media. Creates web content for ongoing and upcoming projects. Additional Duties Confirms that appropriate signage and other wayfinding tools are present at project sites across all three UNO campuses. Develops and maintains files on creative projects. Participates in regular project updates with FMP staff. Assists in other communication efforts throughout the organization, as needed. Minimum junior-level student in communications, journalism, media, or other relevant field. Excellent time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Demonstrated knowledge and use of social media tools. Experience in editing and proofreading. Valid driver's license required. Preferred Qualifications Prefer person with excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt text for different mediums and audiences. Prefer person with interests and skills in photography, project management, marketing, and customer service. Prefer experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop software.
