Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit The Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships engages in partnerships for healthy children and families by bridging research, policy, and practice. The Center's mission is to build the capacity of families, service providers, researchers, teachers, and communities to ensure the health and well-being of children and youth. Position Summary The Program Specialist position will provide training and local coaching support in the implementation of High Fidelity Wraparound to sites including but not exclusive to Tiered Care Coordination pilot sites and SOC sites. The Program Specialist position includes training, coaching and organizational support. The position will be stationed from home with frequent travel to UNCG and statewide. Minimum Qualifications * Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, education or Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, education or related and 3 or more years experience working with children, youth and/or families. * At least three (3) years of experience in providing an evidence based behavioral health model or intervention or Child and Family Team training or facilitation. * Experience in providing training to others, particularly in behavioral health, child welfare, juvenile justice or other related areas. * Served as a Family Partner in NC, Credentialed as a Family Support Partner (FSP) or Youth Support Partner (YSP) on a HFW Team or a Certified Family Peer Specialist (CFPC) through the National Federation of Families, and therefore has firsthand experience with accessing and/or receiving services from the child-serving system. * Experience in providing training from the youth or family perspective to others, particularly in behavioral health, child welfare, juvenile justice or other related areas and family driven care. Percentage Of Time 40% Key Responsibility Provider and Community Support Essential Tasks * Assists providers in interviewing and selection of staff for HFW teams. * Provides on-site and virtual coaching and technical assistance to HFW teams. * Tracks and supports all Wraparound team members (coach, facilitators, family and youth peer support) in moving through their certification process. * Supports and works with lead implementation specialist on their plan to support coaches and train and credential their staff within their agencies. * Supports the HFW teams in use of the HFW tools (Strengths, Needs, Culture Discovery (SNCD), Transition Readiness Scale, NC HFWTP monitoring tools). Works with lead implementation specialist, Wraparound team and Local Management Entity-Managed Care Organization (LME-MCO) to resolve any barriers re: referrals, connecting families to services, coordination of care across agencies and teaches wraparound team to resolve issues on their own. Essential Functions The High School Programs Specialist provides comprehensive operational support across enrollment, articulation, course builds, communication, and resource management to ensure seamless and accurate processes for students, partners, and instructors. This role maintains essential systems, records, and workflows that uphold program integrity, strengthen stakeholder communication, and contribute to a consistent, high-quality experience across all program areas. * Prepare Career Start enrollment materials, including the upcoming school year calendar and updated programmatic flyers with requirements. * Assist with Career Start Visit Days to ensure a smooth, clear, and consistent experience for students and partners. * Support the Career Start registration processes, including application management, documentation review, prerequisite verification, and enrollment workflow coordination. * Coordinate with the Student Experience/Learning Commons to arrange Career Start student ID cards and communicate schedule with instructors. * Maintain the Master Enrollment List (per program and per district) for all completed applications (including waitlist status) and communicate placement with partners. * Communicate with partners and students to confirm continued eligibility and interest in matriculation based on prerequisite completion and verification. * Track, verify, and report credential completion information with partners. * Maintain systems for monitoring student matriculation beyond their participation in Career Start. * Compile and distribute the Career and Technical Act (CTA) Crosswalk to partners to support accurate reporting and required submissions. * Support the various workflows associated with Articulation and Tested/Experience Rubrics. * Maintain the master list of articulation agreements (including dates of eligibility) and update flyers accordingly. * Support student/school/district articulation requests through coordination with various departments to assure correct records and billing. * Maintain the master list of approved Campus Pathway instructors and support the onboarding processes. * Maintain the course build process for all Career Start and Campus Pathway sections in compliance with FLAC deadlines (including special and truncated sections - i.e CPR) * Verify accuracy and alignment of course builds through regular data extractions and cross-referencing. * Ensure all high school students have the appropriate system and course access (CPR, Serve Safe, Cengage) in a timely fashion to support their success. * Monitor and distribute final term grades to partner schools at the end of each semester. * Maintain an up-to-date record of CTE Advisory Committee meeting dates and minutes. * Compile and distribute updated Inclusive Access (IA) and Open Educational Resource (OER) lists to partners to support planning. * Prepare and share the CTA Reporting Crosswalk needed for Career and Technical Act submissions. * Oversee communication channels (including GECKO and HSP email address, main office phone and website) to assure timely, accurate and coherent communication with all stakeholders. * Oversee inventory of Career Start materials and resources, including tracking supplies, equipment, and program assets. * Conduct annual maintenance and advocate for the replacement of end-of-cycle or outdated materials. * Ensure all program materials remain current, relevant, and aligned with instructional needs. * Coordinate the distribution, collection, scheduling, and receipt tracking of all reusable supplies. The specialist will also manage admissions processes and advising duties for specified graduate degree programs. The Graduate Program Specialist will support prospective and current graduate students throughout their academic journey. Responsibilities: The Graduate Program Specialist must operate with a high degree of independence in decision-making and function to allow for timely, and often individualized, attention and service to prospective and current graduate students. Essential Duties Summary * Exhibit an uncompromising commitment to SPCC as a learning-centered college through the College's mission, vision, values, core skills and learning outcomes, and delivery of instruction and services * Provide work-based learning experiences with college approved employers in an area related to student's program of study * Act as chief advocate for work-based learning courses and presents a positive image of the program and the college to both internal and external customers * Lead the recruitment efforts for the program and ensure that all promotional materials are current, accurate, and readily available * Evaluate and register students in work-based learning courses * Plan and implement work-based learning agreements, forms, and other documentation * Maintain accurate work-based learning records and submit all reports as requested or required * Collaborate with department chairs, program leads, faculty and instructional staff to develop a work-based learning component in all appropriate programs * Assure consistency and quality in the WBL process, placements, and evaluations * Develop learning strategies and curriculum that will promote successful teaching and learning in a learning-centered environment * Assist with the development of Measurable Learning Outcomes * Provide accessibility to students and colleagues via office and course management software. * Use assessment techniques to enhance learning * Demonstrate high-level professionalism in developing and/or implementing long- and short-range plans, rules, and regulations in accordance with the philosophy of a Learning College * Knowledge of, ability to develop, and commitment to using emerging technologies and alternative delivery methods appropriately, including online delivery, hybrid course options, content software, and web enhancements * Facilitate learning through classroom activities, distance learning experiences, workforce development, out of classroom activities, mentoring of students and peers * Participate in institutional, advisory, and program/instruction committee meetings, campus activities, and representation of the college in the community * Actively select and use appropriate learning materials and resources, including textbooks, library resources, equipment, and supplies to enhance learning and to maintain program currency * Continue professional development for the improvement of self and the program to meet the needs of a Learning College * Provide students and peers with a positive role model in terms of character. * Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, the AVP, or the Vice President of Business & Workforce Solutions Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree * Teaching experience * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Working knowledge/utilization of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications Preferred Qualifications * Minimum of the equivalent of one academic year of full-time teaching experience at the community college level * Minimum of one year of administrative experience * Proven ability to deal effectively, cooperatively, and tactfully with faculty, staff, administrators, students, and community representatives. * Familiarity with a course management system such as Canvas * Knowledge and/or experience with learning outcomes assessment * Demonstrated innovation within the field of education and/or technology * Evidence of effective problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills * Evidence of a career that includes a strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle high-pressure environments Physical Demands Special Conditions Eligibility Summary Eeo Statement Summary South Piedmont Community College provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees based on job related criteria without reference to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, genetic information, or any other legally protected classification.
