This posting will establish and maintain a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching Geography and Environmental Science courses for the Department of Geography & Environmental Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver. The Department of Chemistry takes pride in high-quality coursework and student-centered research, led by award-winning faculty. Currently, the department has about 300 students who are pursuing BS degrees in chemistry, BS degrees in biochemistry, or MS degrees in Chemistry. Multiple certificate programs are also available at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. This posting will establish and maintain a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching Chemistry or Biochemistry courses per semester for the Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver.

The English Department has an opening for a part-time Lecturer in English. The English Department at CU Denver oversees the university's course composition program, which consists of a sequence of two classes-English 1020 and 2030. The Department also offers undergraduate majors in Literature; Film; Creative Writing; and Writing, Rhetoric, and Technology; as well as an MA degree in English Studies.

What you will do:
The English Department seeks a Lecturer with experience in composition instruction to teach 2 sections of core composition in Colorado adult male prisons. Each class section meets once per week for varied amounts of time per session. In addition to leading class discussion, composition teachers must also prepare for classes, provide regular feedback on assignments, and meet with students outside the classroom.
A successful applicant will have training in composition studies and experience in the composition classroom, particularly with teaching incarcerated adult male student populations. The applicant should be able to flexibly engage in incarcerated students with wide range of abilities and experiences. This is a part-time position that requires the applicant to teach on site at both the Sterling and Territorial prisons.

This posting establishes a pool of candidates to fill temporary, non-tenure track lecturer positions to teach one or more undergraduate level courses as needed in the Department of Mechanical Engineering on a part-time semester-by-semester basis for SY26/26. Courses will vary from term to term. This position is paid on a per-course basis. Assignments are dependent upon student enrollments and are paid on a per course basis. Teach one to three classes as assigned per term.
Prepare for each class session and deliver balanced, rigorous lessons via Canvas and Zoom in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes.
Hold weekly office hours as appropriate per course allocation.

A Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field and industrial and/or research experience is required for teaching undergraduate level courses.
A PhD degree in mechanical engineering or related fields is required to teach graduate level courses.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field is required to teach undergraduate labs.
Substitution: A combination of education and related experience may be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis.

For graduate level courses: experience in higher education environment us preferred.

Job Information:
· This is primarily a remote daytime position, reading for the entire system from your home office workstation. Approximately 4 weeks of the year, including the associated weekends, will be spent on site at our Anschutz location in Aurora, CO.
· Interpreting radiography, ultrasound, and general body CT / MRI is required, whereas subspecialty coverage of Nuclear Medicine, Musculoskeletal CT/MRI, and Cardiothoracic CT/MRI is optional and dependent on experience/expertise.

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
+ Ability to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities.
+ Ability to effectively plan, establish and implement teaching goals and objectives independently without guidance and direction from other faculty.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
**Conditions of Employment**
+ Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required. This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.
**Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements**
The ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work; often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.

**Compensation and Benefits**
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $5,535 to $6,000 depending upon course level.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limitedto, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
