Chris McCoy is the Chief Information Officer for the University of North Texas System. McCoy has 30+ years of information technology experience in higher education.

As the CIO for the UNT System, McCoy oversees the central information technology operation that supports the University of North Texas, University of North Texas at Dallas, University of North Texas Health Science Center and UNT System Administration.

Dan Tenney has nearly 30 years of diverse leadership experience across a variety of areas with proven success in optimizing major, high-risk, and highly visible operations. Selected in 2019 as the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the University of North Texas System, he oversees an annual budget of over $1.3 billion across 3 major universities with 44,000+ students. He also manages complex multi-locational operations for budgeting, accounting, investments, shared services, procurement and the historically underutilized business program. Previously, Mr. Tenney served as the Associate Administrator for Mission Support at the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) where he was responsible for institutional and business functions with annual budget of over $3 billion, 15,000 employees and 5,000 facilities. In that role he integrated major operations across 14 different states and restructured activities to a more interdependent operating model saving hundreds of millions of dollars. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Associate Administrator for Mission Support where he led a major restructuring initiative that established more efficient operations across NASA. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA where he oversaw planning, budgeting, program analysis, and accounting activities for a national research laboratory with assets valued at approximately $3.5 billion. During the shuttle era, he served as the Director of the Management and Technical Support Office where he led diverse operations, directed integrated business activities across ten field centers, and enabled solution-driven results for the highest risks challenges at NASA. In 2003, Mr. Tenney led NASA to become the first Federal Agency to implement full cost operations. He also served in numerous other key leadership roles for NASA, including Center Deputy CFO for Finance, Center Deputy CFO for Systems, and Chief Strategist. Mr. Tenney earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Christopher Newport University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Averett University. He also completed the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University. He is a recipient of the Presidential Rank Award, the Outstanding Leadership Medal and numerous other awards.

As the Chief Diversity Officer, Dannetta Bland is a thought leader and subject-matter expert who will work collaboratively with existing campus and system DEI advisory groups, as well as with campus HR leaders, to refine and accelerate the important work of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). She communicates strategic initiatives and progress toward DEI to the UNT System Board of Regents and all levels of system and campus leadership. She joined the UNT System in July 2021 after spending nearly 17 years at Deloitte, one of the world’s largest professional services firms. She boasts a wealth of experience advising Fortune 500 companies on DEI initiatives and talent strategy, cultural and workforce transformation, as well as executive transition and alignment.

Dr. Larry Mendez is a Chief Technology Officer at University of North Texas System and is based in Dallas/Fort Worth Area. He has worked as Chief Information Officer at Tyler Junior College, Mgr. Network Services at Tyler Junior College, and Project Manager / Business Affairs at Tyler Junior College. Larry attended Gap International between 2009 and 2017, LeTourneau University between 2002 and 2003, and American Intercontinental Univ. between 2003 and 2004.
