Overread spirometry tests and record grades into research data portals in accordance with national standards (e.g., American Thoracic Society) and study protocols.
Provide virtual spirometry coaching to study participants as outlined in study protocol.
Report any protocol deviations or concerns to program director to ensure research quality.
Development of Processes and Workflows (40%):
Contribute to the development of workflows and protocols for data collection, including synchronous spirometry coaching, overreading, logistics, and data reporting.
Assist with creating and performing quality assessment and improvement methods.
Ensure consistent updates are communicated between team and research partners.
General research support (15%):
Provide instructions on home spirometry maneuvers to practitioners, coordinators, participants and caregivers.
Attend Spirometry 360 team meetings, meetings with research collaborators and external vendors, as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:
Completion of a respiratory care program approved by the State of Washington Department of Health AND eighteen months of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Legal Requirement
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT) by the State of Washington.
Additional Requirements:
Two years of experience coaching and reading spirometry maneuvers.
Human Subjects Protection training (e.g., CITI) and Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) certification, current at time of hire or completed prior to start. Training must be maintained per sponsor/IRB requirements.
Desired Qualifications:

The Takeshita Lab is dedicated to identifying, understanding, and eliminating health and healthcare disparities related to dermatologic diseases, particularly chronic inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. The lab engages in quantitative epidemiologic studies ranging from survey studies to large population-based database studies as well as qualitative and mixed methods research to better understand the drivers of health disparities. The lab's work is funded by federal, industry, and foundation sponsors. Current projects include ADDS-UP3, a community-based cohort study aimed at identifying the social and environmental factors contributing to racial and ethnic disparities in atopic dermatitis severity; P2P-PsO, a study evaluating the effectiveness of peer mentorship in increasing participant diversity in psoriasis research; VTEACH-PsO, a project assessing whether an educational video can increase research participation among adults with psoriasis; among other health disparities related studies.
The primary responsibility of the Community Canvasser (CRC A) position in the Takeshita Lab is to implement community-based approaches to engaging the North, West, South, and Southwest Philadelphia communities in research to understand the causes of racial and ethnic disparities in eczema (atopic dermatitis) outcomes. Job Description
ClinicalCoordinator A: Participate in and coordinateclinical trials within the Penn Department of Medicine Clinical Trials Unit. Involvement in trials will range from consulting to serving as the primary coordinator for a study handling all coordinator activities such as:
Assist in development of study documents. Work with Regulatory Specialist for regulatory submissions. Communicate with study team members. Recruit, consent, and screen patients according to protocol. Schedule patient visits and any necessary testing. Conduct patient visits. Monitor patients per protocol requirements and ensure adherence to protocol requirements. Organize and maintain all documentation required by the Investigator, sponsor or CRO, includes source documentation, case report forms, and research charts. Collect, review, and report study data. Complete case report forms and resolve data queries. Process and ship study specimens including blood and urine. Participate in initiation, monitoring, audit, and close-out visits. Participate in study team meetings and ongoing protocol training. Assist in the development and maintenance of study specific case report forms and source document tools. Show vigilance in patient safety, protocol compliance, and data qualify. Adhere to all University of Pennsylvania, FDA, and GCP guidelines.
ClinicalCoordinator B, in addition to the above, will develop study specific source documents and trackers, prepare and submit regulatory packages, correspond with sponsor & regulatory review boards, and help with study start-up activities. The CRC B will have less supervision in the management of clinical trials and will need to use more independent judgment.
ClinicalResearchCoordinator C is expected to perform the duties above with more limited supervision from the project manager. In addition, will develop complex documents such as protocols and consents, lead team meetings, and may take a lead role in study communication with internal and external groups. Work directly with investigators to design, set-up and execute studies. Accountable for making sure study timelines and goals are met. The mission of the ACC ClinicalResearch Unit (CRU) is to advance the science of cancer care, serve our patients by improving clinical outcomes, and offer the best available innovative care to trial participants. The ACC CRU is instrumental in the development and implementation of cancer clinical trials that offer cutting-edge oncology treatments. The ACC CRU is currently comprised of 12 Research Teams that support disease/discipline specific medical oncology cancer programs within the ACC.
Job Description
ClinicalResearchCoordinator B Responsibilities
This individual will work under general supervision
The CRC will be responsible for the coordination of complex oncology clinicalresearch protocols, including accurate data collection and overseeing the quality of the clinical trial data and records, scheduling and conducting study initiation and monitoring visits, and participating in ongoing study protocol training. The CRC is also responsible for research lab specimen processing/handling. The CRC will demonstrate vigilance in patient safety, protocol compliance, and data quality, and will participate in data organization for research publications, with potential for co-authorship. Additional details of these responsibilities are provided below:
* Coordinate the conduct of complex (i.e., multi-drug regimens, high toxicity potential, multiple random assignments, or immunotherapies, etc.) Phase I - IV clinical trials and registries within the ACC CRU Research Team.
* Complete relevant training to function in the role including but not limited to electronic databases, and processing/shipping specimens. Coordinate completion and appropriate documentation of new study staff training during any staffing transitions or for coverage purposes.
* Organize, participate and assist in the preparation of documents needed for initiation, monitoring, internal and external auditing, and study close-out visits. Interface with regulatory authorities, Sponsors and cooperative groups as directed by the ACC CRU Research Team Program Manager.
* Be actively involved in planning and implementation of patient recruitment into studies (involves deciding which strategies are best, reviewing medical records of upcoming new and return patient clinic visits and discussing with investigators, reaching out to potential referring physicians, approaching potential participants in the office or speaking to them by phone, asking pre-screening eligibility questions, etc.). May participate in the clinic to explain a trial and conduct informed consent with the patient and family.
* Develop, schedule and oversee participant visits and any necessary testing and appointment coverage according to protocol and in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) (e.g. scheduling participant visits within the appropriate window, ensuring all tests and assessments at each visit are performed, reporting adverse events and ensuring review and appropriate follow-up by investigator, monitoring patient care and treatment side effects in concert with investigators, detailed documentation of study activities).
* Monitor participants per protocol requirements and ensure adherence to protocol. Show vigilance in patient safety, protocol compliance and data quality.

ClinicalResearchCoordinator C:
The Clinical Trials Coordinator C will have the same duties as B but will include the following:
* This individual will work independently with minimal supervision. May act in a lead capacity or as back-up to the supervisor.
* Work directly with physicians to assist with design, set-up and execute studies. Be responsible for writing investigator-initiated IND/IDE clinical trials in collaboration with faculty supervisor. Speak at investigator meetings or site initiation visits for IITs where collaborating physician is the Principal Investigator. Assist in analyzing clinical data to determine response and clinical outcomes; contribute to the preparation of study abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and grant applications.

The clinicalresearchcoordinator (CRC) is responsible for the execution of clinicalresearch trials with the Neuromuscular Research Division in the Department of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania.
Job Description
Each candidate will be required to carry out daily activities related to industry-sponsored, grant or federally funded research protocols, as well as assist in the conduct of investigator-initiated research and division-specific research projects and operations. The primary function of these positions are to facilitate, promote, and ensure good clinical practice in the conduct of all research protocols in the department. This is an onsite, patient facing role in which the clinicalresearchcoordinator will adhere to all aspects of protocol maintenance, training and compliance. Responsibilities will include coordination of clinical trial visits and communications, working closely with members of the research team, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and clinical care teams to provide optimal care to Neuromuscular patients. Additional duties include regular office duties (e.g. scanning and filing research records, maintaining study supply inventories), data entry and expense tracking.
Candidates eligible for the CRC-B position will require demonstrable experience and proficiency in the above-listed duties and will carry out these duties with limited supervision. Additional duties include overseeing junior coordinators and independently completing regulatory and IRB submissions. Prior experience with industry sponsored collaborators is preferred.
These positions are contingent upon funding.
Hiring range minimum for this position is $46,500.

+ Assist with IRB communications, including initial submissions, modifications.
+ Collect and report timely, valid, accurate data. Assist with the maintenance of clinical trial databases using REDCap functionality. Maintain subject files and regulatory files per GCP.
+ Utilize Electronic Medical records to collect data to and complete data entry.

+ Complete all source documents and worksheets and enter data in a timely and accurate fashion. Create and maintain subject binders. Obtain records required to complete CRFs. Ensure inclusion of enrollment information, research orders, and other communications are entered into the electronic medical record of each subject. Resolve data queries with in a timely manner. Monitor adherence to protocol throughout patient enrollment in study. Notify PI, project manager of any deviations from protocol or adverse events. Ensure reported trial data are accurate, complete, verifiable from source documents; collect data on adverse events and reports serious adverse events per regulatory standards. Ensure correct version of approved consent is used for each enrollment. Ensure timely notification to all enrolled subjects of significant changes in consent.
+ Assist in the conduct of clinicalresearch studies performed by physicians using currently approved protocols, according to Good Clinical Practice. Obtain detailed knowledge of all components of study protocols by review of study protocol, related literature prior to study start date. Schedule and conduct follow-up visits with patients and ensure all follow-up activities are conducted within protocol designated timeframes including documentation of lost-to-follow-up efforts. Schedule additional protocol-required tests/procedures.
+ Assist project manager in creating and maintaining a complete and accurate regulatory binder for each study. Assist with preparation and processing of all Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation including submissions, continuing reviews, amendments and adverse event reporting. Prepare and process all regulatory documentation with research sponsors and clinicalresearch organizations (CROs). Obtain the appropriate signatures for regulatory forms. Prepare for audits and monitoring visits.

Erica Baller and the Baller Laboratory are recruiting a ClinicalResearchCoordinator to assist investigators in conducting behavioral and multimodal neuroimaging research examining the relationship between psychiatric symptoms and brain disease in multiple sclerosis. The Baller Lab is a consultation-liaison psychiatry lab committed to improving care for patients with comorbid psychiatric and medical illnesses. Historically, most research in psychiatry has focused on studying medically healthy patients, leaving physicians with less guidance when caring for patients with complex medical needs. Our lab focuses on combining brain imaging, psychiatric evaluations, and medical informatics to better understand how physical illness impacts psychiatric health. Responsibilities will include assisting with: recruitment and acquisition of behavioral data via clinical and cognitive assessments; clinical phenotyping via electronic medical records; image analysis; maintenance of regulatory documents and correspondence. The lab works closely with colleagues in Neurology and Biostatistics. Opportunities for data analysis and clinical shadowing abound.
Qualifications
A BA/BS degree and 1-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The candidate must have a passion for science, superb interpersonal skills, and technical affinity. Preference for an educational background in Neuroscience/Psychology or Biology/Premed with plans to pursue a graduate degree in psychology, neuroscience, or medicine. An interest in working directly with adults with both psychiatric symptoms and medical comorbidities is essential. Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations is desirable. While not required, experience with the Unix/Linux operating system and the statistical package R is a major asset. Above all, the applicant should demonstrate strong motivation, empathy, and excellent organizational skills.

* High reliability, punctuality, follow-through, and professionalism in sensitive clinical environments.
