The role involves providing and coordinating counseling and casework services within the MH Residential Programs, and assisting individuals with daily living, financial, socialization, mobility, and survival skills.
The position supports the Long Run Road Personal Care Home, an 18-bed facility for adults with mental illness. Ideal candidates should be supportive, proficient in administering medications, thorough in completing assignments, and reliable in covering shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The shifts for this position are Saturday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Tuesday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $3,500!
Responsibilities:
* Working at various sites and familiarizing with orientation binders.
* Working independently under stress without imposing personal beliefs.
* Staying calm and supportive in emergencies.

The primary purpose of the per diem MentalHealth Specialist IV is to provide services which support the delivery of clinical services in the Unit.

* Provides telephone coverage for the unit.

This position works Monday through Friday with daylight hours with the expectation to work some evenings until 6:00 PM dependent on department need and patient care. The dress code is business casual and there is free parking on site.

Responsibilities:
* Record Keeping: Maintains daily records of clinical productivity.
* Therapy: Provides individual and group therapy to patients in home, school, and community settings, engaging families in assessment and treatment when indicated.
* Education: Educates patients on recovery as appropriate.
* Team Meetings: Participates in regular treatment team meetings to discuss clinical cases, update treatment plans, monitor progress, and recommend referrals.
* Treatment Approach: Utilizes relevant, evidence-based treatment approaches.
* Assessments: Conducts assessments of new patients and documents clinical decisions regarding treatment and referrals.
* Treatment Plans: Creates and adapts treatment plans to meet the diverse needs of patients.
* Regulatory Activities: Participates in regulatory and licensure preparation activities.
* Administrative Competency: Manages administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision, including caseload management and group census.
* Documentation: Documents all assessments, treatment sessions, and case management activities according to guidelines.
* Skill Development: Continuously grows clinical skills by learning and implementing new treatment approaches.
* Case Reviews: Reviews cases and serious patient condition changes with supervisors and clinical personnel.
* Timely Documentation: Completes clinical documentation on the same day of service delivery and provides necessary information to ensure service authorization.
* Mentoring: Participates in mentoring student interns.
* Quality Assurance: Engages in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
* Patient Needs Assessment: Assesses changing patient needs and incorporates them into treatment plans.
* Service Referrals: Discusses additional service needs with the clinical team and refers patients to appropriate levels of care or community services
Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.
* Two years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required.
* Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required.
* Prior credentialing highly preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Are you passionate about helping kids be their best selves? UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Behavioral Health Therapist II to support the offices in Butler. Sign on bonus available if applicable. Purpose: The purpose of this job is to be part of a collaborative care team that provides behavioral health assessments and treatment to service patients who have a behavioral health diagnosis. This level of service can be an outpatient treatment program or equivalent to outpatient.
Responsibilities:
* Evidence-Based Treatment: Utilizes relevant and evidence-based treatment approaches as appropriate.
* Patient Assessments: Conducts assessments of new patients, documents clinical decisions, and adapts treatment models for service delivery.
* Changing Patient Needs: Assesses and incorporates changing patient needs into treatment plans for various programs (outpatient, partial hospitalization, community, and school-based).
* Treatment Plan Reviews: Regularly reviews and updates treatment plans based on patient needs and program guidelines.
* Therapy Sessions: Provides individual and family therapy to patients within the pediatric practice and maintains a schedule of 18 sessions per week.
Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.
