The Division comprises six faculty, a nurse practitioner, two registered nurses, a registered dietician, a social worker, a child psychologist, two research study coordinators, and a talented administrative support staff. The Division fully complements nephrology services, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, CARPEDIEM, and kidney transplantation. Our ACGME-accredited fellowship program has been training pediatric nephrologists since 1994. Golisano Children's Hospital is a 148-bed facility with a 13-bed PICU, 16-bed Cardiac ICU, and 68-bed NICU. The Department offers broad research opportunities, the University has a supportive Clinical & Translational Science Institute, and the Division participates in several nephrology study groups, including CKiD, PNRC, SHIP AHOY, NAPRTCS, and SCOPE. **Responsibilities:**
The CPEP Clinical Evaluator provides a key function in the CPEP patient evaluation, intervention and disposition decision-making process for patients presenting across the entire range of 5 years old and above in acute psychiatric or behavioral health crisis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The CPEP Clinical Evaluator acts as the subject matter expert in the clinic. This position conducts an initial evaluation of the patient's presentation including in person evaluation of the patient and clinical risk assessment, collateral information and review of current/percent history of clinical presentations/services. The Clinical Evaluator documents their evaluation and assessments in ASAP and presents the patients current status, recent history and collateral information to the CPEP psychiatrist who uses that information in conducting their own psychiatric evaluation and medical decision-making regarding disposition, Clinical Evaluator functions include identification and intervention around individual and systemic barriers to discharge; collaboration with other agencies, services, community providers as needed towards achieving discharge; notification and involvement of administrative personnel as needed to achieve a safe discharge.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Conducts comprehensive clinical evaluation and risk assessments, including obtaining collateral information and review of recent clinical history for patients across the age spectrum as assigned who present to the CPEP in crisis. Provides assessment and intervention services to children and adults suspected of being victims of abuse, neglect or domestic violence in line with program and hospital policy and procedure

+ With latitude for clinical judgement and knowledge / understanding of CPEP regulations regarding discharges for CPEP; directs, develops, and facilitates discharge planning from CPEP for those patients who are evaluated as not in in need of acute psychiatric inpatient admission to inpatient or admission to the CPEP Extended Observation Beds. Problem-solving barriers to patient care, assigning tasks to CPEP Clinical Staff as needed. Engages CASAC, Peer Specialist or other members of the CPEP interdisciplinary clinical team in the assessment and intervention to achieve a safe discharge.
+ Includes safety planning with patient/family, making referral for outpatient follow-up or securing outpatient follow up as indicated and available.
**MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
+ Master's degree from a Counsel of Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) accredited program with major course work in mental health counseling or master's degree in Social Work required.
+ Prior experience working in acute psychiatric care setting preferred.
+ Two years of clinical experience post-graduation from Masters' Program preferred.

Qualified candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology, have completed fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging or have extensive experience in thoracic and cardiac imaging. Duties include clinical patient care, medical education of students, residents and fellows, interdisciplinary conferences, and scholarly activity. The University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY, seeks a Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology. The Anatomic Pathology Division at URMC is one of the largest in the country; its surgical pathology unit accessions more than 100,000 cases annually; the cytopathology unit reviews 60,000 Pap smears and 15,000 non gynecologic cytopathology cases, including 3,500 fine-needle aspiration biopsies; the autopsy unit routinely performs ~220 posts. The Department performs close to 12 million tests annually with more than 1,100 staff and over 70 faculty.
The Department has a robust infrastructure for supporting clinical and translational research, including financial, administrative and statistical support, and dedicated academic time.
The Department hosts learners across the spectrum. There is an AP/CP pathology residency training program and 11 fellowship positions; URMC's largest PhD training program is housed in Pathology; a NACCLS-accredited clinical medical technologist training program; training in non-licensed roles including phlebotomy and clinical support technology, and an exploratory program for high school students.
The Medical Center is a tertiary referral center for organ transplant (kidney, liver, heart); boasts a Level 1 trauma & burn center; comprehensive neuromedicine; complex cardiology and cancer. In 2023, the School of Medicine and Dentistry received $158 million in NIH funding. The culture of the School of Medicine and Dentistry is collegial and supportive, with an emphasis on teamwork. The Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester invites applications for a part-time faculty appointment in Harp beginning 1 July 2026. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include teaching applied-music majors and maintaining national/international standing as a performing artist and teacher. Additional duties may include teaching relevant classes in harp performance and/or harp pedagogy, coaching chamber music, or teaching in a secondary area of expertise. The faculty member will contribute to the musical life of the Eastman School of Music by participating in recruitment, auditions, juries, and recitals.
In compliance with the NY Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $35,000 - $65,000. The University of Rochester considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
**Qualifications**
Candidates should have strong reputations as performers on the national and/or international level, in addition to a proven record of successful recruiting and teaching of outstanding students in a conservatory or university music school.

**Responsibilities:**
Provides independent patient care related to patient evaluation, prescription recommendation, applying all manner of fracture casts, fitting and adapting of assistive devices and coordination of patient care with other health care professionals. Usually works in accordance with standard procedures and practices. Exercises a high degree of judgment and skill.

TYPICAL DUTIES:
+ Clinical Assessment
+ Obtains a history of the patient, evaluates patient, and examines the patient manually. Determines the needs of the patient by integrating the information obtained from history, examination and observation in order to assess the specific needs of the patient. Analyzes the data obtained by empirical methods in order to prepare a recommendation.
+ Collaborates with patient, family and involved providers to develop a treatment protocol for the specific patient and to determine a specific device recommendation and plan for its use.
+ Obtains and accurately records appropriate measurements and other data from the patient in order to produce the device recommended.
Patient Management
+ Measures a patient by utilizing proper instruments and tests in order to compile data to be used in prosthetic and orthotic design and fabrication. Manipulate the patient's body or body segments to provide correction.
+ Properly fist orthotic designs by utilizing accepted prosthetic/orthotic techniques in order to achieve optimum fit, function and cosmesis.
+ Evaluates a patient's gait by visual observation in order to achieve optimum prosthetic or orthotic function.
+ Achieves optimum alignment of patient's prosthetic/orthotic device by evaluation of the sagittal, transverse and coronal planes in order to provide maximum function.
+ Manages a simple, stable fracture utilizing prefabricated orthoses.
+ Follows up with patient care in order to assure proper fit and function of the prosthetic/orthotic device by periodic evaluation.
+ Provides the solution to a patient's prosthetic/orthotic problem by appropriate evaluation in order to achieve proper function.
+ Educates the patient on the various procedures you are about to perform and/or explain his/her role and responsibilities regarding these procedures by utilizing appropriate communication skill in order to achieve successful fabrication and utilization of the prosthetic/orthotic device.
Practice Management
+ Communicates patient information to referring physicians and other healthcare providers to achieve ultimate patient care.
+ Provide proper documentation of patient history and financial records by established record keeping techniques in order to verify patient care and other pertinent records.
+ Establish procedures for patient care that comply with accepted medical/legal requirement by maintaining current education in these areas to provide appropriate patient care in order to avoid legal ramifications.
Professional Responsibilities:
+ Selects the most appropriate course of action when faced with patient related problems by applying their experience in order to recognize their limitations in providing appropriate patient care.
+ Provide optimum patient care by recognizing the need to pursue continuing education in order to remain current in practice.
+ Provide ethical patient care by applying the American Board of Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics Canon of Ethics in order to maintain ethical professional services.
+ Educate individuals involved in patient care (physicians, residents, therapists, etc.) by utilizing appropriate communication skills in order to provide them with current prosthetic and orthotic information.

Career Ladder: The three bands within this position are differentiated by level of independence, supervision required, ability to precept new employees in the use of all equipment and the ability to lead and meet established departmental goals. Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitter levels and criteria for each level is defined below:
Band I: Entry level Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitters who are new to URMC who require training as well as regular direct supervision or guidance from a more senior Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitter. This generally involves orientation to the Department's infrastructure, policies, protocols, workflows, procedures and routines. During this period the Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitter must demonstrate an ability to progress towards proficient and competent performance of required tasks of an Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitter. Ability to interact with patients and physicians on a professional level and a willingness and ability to learn must be demonstrated at this level.
Band II: With minimal supervision, demonstrates proficiency and competence in all aspects of job responsibilities and expectations. Fitters at this level meet all level I performance criteria, are certified by the American Board for Certification or equivalent, and have a minimum of 1 year of experience as an independent fitter. Able to work with students and residents as needed. Demonstrates consistent attention to detail in all clinical services including complete documentation. Scope of practice includes all fracture casts and all prefabricated devises with the exception of Halos.
Band Two status requires a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible professional work experience in an Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitter role.
Band III: - Exceeds standards for a level II Fitter and demonstrates advanced clinical skills in one or more of the following areas: teaching, advanced certification, research, publication or program development. Program development includes assisting in supervision, training, compliance, and operations of a program staffed by Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitters. Responsibilities include assisting in supervision, training, compliance, and operations of Orthotics and Prosthetics programs. May serve as a preceptor in the on-boarding of newly hired Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitters directly orienting to equipment, routines and procedures, computer programs and software, as well as departmental and hospital policies. Directly assists in the mentoring of newer Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitters by providing one-on-one assistance when needed. Able to effectively troubleshoot issues that arise within the department and deal with accordingly. Able to represent the department on various committees such as safety, quality, and operations groups.
Band Three status minimally requires 2 years of progressively responsible professional work experience as an Orthotics/Prosthetics Fitter in a clinical care role with 1 year dedicated to URMC preferred.
