**Responsibilities:**
GENERAL PURPOSE
Functions as a member of Strong Memorial Hospital's Mobile Crisis Team, serving patients in mental health crisis within the community. Sr. Crisis Specialist functions as a mentor to the Crisis Specialist staff to ensure consistent care and support is provided to patients and families. Responsible for training of new Crisis Specialist staff. Functions as Mobile Crisis Team Dispatcher, responsible for case assignment to the teams in the field. Tracks, monitors and communicates with crisis staff in the field. Responsible for timely and efficient response to referrals received. Assists with hiring and mentoring of staff and provides guidance under the direction of the Mobile Crisis Team Director.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Senior Crisis Specialists coordinate the dispatching of Mobile Crisis Teams in the community to ensure all areas of need are covered.
+ Responsible for use of independent judgement to determine acuity of crisis referrals in order to dispatch teams accordingly.
+ Responsible for making contact with teams in the field to allocate resources appropriately.
+ Troubleshoots and solves problems proactively and as they arise.
+ Senior Crisis Specialists assist in the training and mentoring of staff including support in interviewing, training, and on-site support.
+ Provides patients and family members' emotional and tangible support, advocacy and linkage to resources via phone and/or person.
+ Responsible for facilitating the referral process.
+ Confers with other community agencies, Therapists, and law enforcement agencies as necessary.
+ Enhances patient efforts in receiving Medicaid and other social services.
+ Provides support and education to families and agencies involved with the patient in psychiatric crisis.
+ Promotes and ensures continued staff education around multicultural factors, which affect care and treatment of patients.
+ Assists in all planning regarding food, shelter or transportation for patients.
+ Responds to patients in mental health crisis at off-site locations in homes, group homes and other settings. Communicates with home base, i.e. estimated time of arrival, current location of team, additional support required, etc. Interviews patients and families in concert with Crisis Therapist.
+ Confers with other community agencies, Therapists, and law enforcement agencies as necessary at the request of the Crisis Therapist.
+ Participates in education and training for provision of services to patient in psychiatric crisis.
+ Visits patients in their community setting to assess their progress toward meeting the goals of the care plan and to monitor compliance with the treatment plan.
+ Teaches, guides, and assists patients and family members to insure their clear understanding of the patient's needs and expectations of the specific care plan.
+ Makes recommendations to mental health professionals regarding treatment plans.
+ Documents patient contacts and patient progress in the medical record and assists patients with paperwork, correspondence, etc. necessary to ensure linkage to appropriate resources.
+ Participates on a rotational basis in on-call group during evening/weekend hours.
+ Responds, as necessary, after hours to psychiatric crises in the community.

+ Associate's degree in a human services related field Required

The Senior Associate will collaborate with academic parties of interest, including faculty, program directors, instructional designers, teaching and learning/faculty development staff, and subject matter experts, to ensure effective academic quality assurance for practices, interventions, and an environment to best support continuous improvement of student learning. Related to student learning, the Senior Associate will assist in co curricular/student affairs assessment activities, providing consultation and guidance in the development of assessment plans and reporting procedures. This role will also support the collection and analysis of data for institutional and specialized accreditation purposes and facilitate compliance with accreditation standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and capacity building in the learning outcomes assessment process for colleges and student
affairs programs/units.
* Provide expertise and consultation throughout each step of a typical assessment cycle (e.g., designing of learning
outcome statements, alignment of curriculum content and educational activities to learning outcomes, assessment
planning, development of formative and summative assessment techniques, data collection, assessment reporting).
* Regularly monitor results from annual program and institutional assessments, as well as program review, consulting
and advising academic and student affairs leadership on interpretation of results and implementation of plans in
achievement of continuous improvement.
* Ensure the use of quality assessment data to inform program/course/intervention development, maintenance, and
improvement.
* Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on assessment methodologies, tools, and technologies.

and both academic and student affairs assessment processes.

Qualifications:
* Earned master's degree in an Educational or Social Science field with an emphasis on assessment.
* At least three years of experience working in assessment, accreditation, institutional research, or institutional effectiveness at an institution.
* Experience with institutional, national, and specialized postsecondary accreditation standards, practices, and goals.
* Expertise in assessment, data analysis and educational outcomes.
