Required Qualifications The successful candidate must hold a master's degree in clinical/medical laboratory science or closely related field; active and current ASCP BOC certification as a medical laboratory scientist MLS(ASCP) CM (or other professional certification recognized by the department); at least 3 years of full-time employment experience as a clinical/medical laboratory scientist; and evidence of current competence and ongoing professional development in clinical/medical laboratory science. We strongly encourage candidates with doctorate in clinical laboratory science (DCLS), PhD in clinical/medical laboratory science or related field; higher education teaching experience; national certification as a specialist in a CLS/MLS discipline; advanced certification in online teaching; proven familiarity with NAACLS accreditation; accreditation experience in laboratory science education; active in professional organizations; employment experience within multiple disciplines in the CLS/MLS field; passion to work with first-generation students, and the ability to teach in multiple disciplines that complement our program.
