Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy
The Department of Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina(USC) is inviting applications for a tenure-track position in our Physical Therapy Program at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to begin August 2026. Highly qualified applicants may be considered for Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have, or be able to develop, collaborative multi-disciplinary, translational research programs with a focus on rehabilitation and function which complement or enhance research within the Program, Department, and across the ASPH.
The DPT program at the University of South Carolina (******************* is a fully-accredited program that is housed within the nationally recognized Department of Exercise Science in the Arnold School of Public Health (**************** The small class size of 30 students allows faculty to creatively use a wide variety of learning approaches while also allowing substantial time for scholarly activity. The Department offers degrees at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level with programs in exercise science, athletic training, and physical therapy. The PhD program is consistently one of the top ranked programs in the US, and USC is among the top sport science universities in the US and the world. The department currently serves approximately 1200 undergraduates and over 280 graduate students across all programs.
USC is a research-intensive University and has been designated by the Carnegie Foundation as a doctoral institution with highest research activity. The faculty member must work closely with other university faculty in education across multiple content areas and several on-campus departments to ensure program quality while providing high-quality feedback, instruction, and assessment practices steeped in current research-based, effective teaching practices.

The faculty member will ensure superior clinical experiences are provided to teacher candidates and work well with school partners.
Assist PK-12 teachers in developing mutually co-beneficial, strategic partnerships to grow teacher-candidate practicum opportunities.

Assistant/Associate Professor - Tenure-Track Faculty Position
The University of South Carolina Arnold School of Public Health invites applications for up to two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate level in the Department of Health Services Policy and Management (HSPM). These 9-month faculty positions are fully supported by state funds and include a substantial start-up package. We seek individuals who share our vision of a world in which health care is accessible, affordable, effective, and equitable for all, who are passionate about conducting rigorous research that informs policy and practice, and who take seriously the responsibility of training the next generation of health care administrators, public health practitioners, policy analysts, and health services researchers. We are especially interested in individuals whose research and/or teaching interests are in the areas of health economics, econometric methods, outcomes research, health equity, social determinants of health, and/or health politics and policy, broadly defined.
