The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of South Carolina in Columbia is seeking qualified applicants for an open rank tenured or tenure-track faculty position. We seek a scholar whose research merges water resources engineering with artificial intelligence and data science to advance smart and sustainable infrastructure systems.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in civil engineering or a closely related field by the start date of employment. They should have a demonstrated record of research accomplishments and a strong capacity for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Applicants at the senior level must also have a record of sustained excellence in teaching and research, including competitive external funding, national and international service, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The ideal candidate will develop an internationally recognized and externally funded research program focusing on the development of tools for water management, including real-time flood forecasting, digital twinning of hydraulic and hydrologic systems, predictive modeling of hydrologic extremes, and strategic water use to support economic development (e.g. water use for data centers and other industrial facilities). This work will discover new knowledge and develop tools for infrastructure planning considering hydrologic hazards such as coastal and flash floods, which are of relevance to South Carolina.
This position complements the department's strengths in water resources engineering and contributes to our broader focus on intelligent and sustainable infrastructure. The successful candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with researchers across the college and the University's AI institute engaged in smart infrastructure and digital twins.
Candidates will be expected to teach in the department's undergraduate and graduate programs and collaborate with researchers across the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Associate Dean for Admissions at the USC School of Medicine Greenville is responsible for leading and supporting the development and implementation of programs, as well as recruitment practices, that clearly align with the guiding principles of the medical school with the ultimate goal of successfully matriculating highly qualified and committed students from South Carolina who will bring added value to the learning environment, practice of medicine, and health and well-being of our community. The Associate Dean for Admissions will oversee all SOMG admissions processes and recruitment programs, as well as serve as a member of the senior leadership team of the medical school.
Major Responsibilities
* Strategically guides admissions processes for the USC School of Medicine Greenville, including recruitment programs and processes, and all admissions decisions.
* Serve as Chair of the Admissions Committee, providing objective oversight in the selection of candidates for admission to the USC School of Medicine Greenville.
* Serve as a voting member of both the Admissions Evaluation Committee and the Admissions Committee.
* Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Student Affairs to oversee a seamless transition to medical school that accounts for the unique experiences and needs each student.
* Oversee the budget and finances of the Office of Admissions, including forecasting throughout the year to ensure that budgets are followed, meeting with constituents to assess budgetary needs, and working in collaboration with the Office of the Dean to ensure a balance between office, school, and institutional needs.
* Initiate new relationships and support existing relationships with colleagues at South Carolina colleges and universities, including other relevant feeder schools.
* Works closely with the Admissions team and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and practices that uniquely support all applicants and matriculating students in their distinctive medical school journeys.
* Provide interface with all key stakeholders, including community-based organizations, institutions of higher education, and other relevant groups, to support recruitment programs with the goal of admitting highly qualified and committed candidates to the USC School of Medicine Greenville.
* Serve in a mentorship capacity, in partnership with the Student Affairs team, to support the success and well-being of accepted students who matriculate into the USC School of Medicine Greenville.
* Works with the Chief Officer of Culture, Access, & Stakeholder Engagement (`) to ensure the medical school remains compliant on relevant local and federal guidelines, in addition to incorporating best practice.
Administrative Responsibilities
* Oversee personnel recruitment, onboarding, annual performance evaluation, and personnel management for the Office for Admissions
* Review the Admissions Evaluation Committee manual annually to ensure that all information and relevant policies and procedures are appropriately described and in accordance with applicable state and federal laws
* Under guidance from the USC Scholarship Committee, and with the assistance of the Registrar and Financial Aid, distribute scholarships among matriculating students to prioritize the recruitment of students from South Carolina who will remain in South Carolina as practicing physicians
* Oversee all policies, procedures, and programs for the Office for Admissions to ensure adherence to state and federal laws as well as LCME, AAMC, Prisma Health, and institutional guidelines

The Recording Engineer provides support for School of Music performances both on and off campus - including events held at the School of Music, the Koger Center and other venues. Responsibilities include audio recording, video capture, livestreaming and archiving. The position manages recording control rooms and ensures the consistent quality and reliability of AV production for the School. This role is also responsible for designing and maintaining recording facilities, developing audio technology policies, hiring, training and supervising student audio technicians, and teaching recording courses to both music and non-music majors.
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in audio production or related field is required. Master's degree with teaching experience preferred. The position requires experience in live streaming and production work along with advanced proficiency in industry standard audio and video production software. The successful candidate will have the ability to identify and locate selections from musical scores and possess expertise in the selection, installation, and operation of audio recording, editing, and video systems. Experience across multiple musical genres desired -including classical, jazz, and popular styles. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina (USC) invites applications for a tenure-track position of open-rank in School Psychology in the area of child and adolescent mental health. The School Psychology PhD Concentration at USC includes eight tenured or tenure track faculty and two clinical faculty, all focusing on CAMH, with four faculty members focused on effective SBH programming, with a wide range of extramural grant funding from state, federal, and foundation sources. We seek to expand this work by recruiting a candidate that has existing leadership experience in these areas and who has demonstrated commitment to building a high impact research excellence in school psychology. Faculty in the School Psychology Concentration also work closely with faculty and students from Clinical-Community, Quantitative, and Cognitive and Neural Science concentrations.
This position is for a 9-month tenure-track appointment in the Department of Psychology. The position requires a Ph.D. in school psychology or a related field, and a demonstrated record of high impact research productivity, leadership experience in the field of school psychology, and excellence in teaching at the time of the appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue external grants to support their research and to contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Psychology and the College of Arts and Sciences, through undergraduate and graduate teaching, including courses closely related to CAMH and SBH.

The Associate Director supports the management and coordination of the Faculty-Led Living-Learning Community (FL-LLC) Programs at the University of South Carolina.
The Associate Director assists with daily operations, program administration, and student engagement initiatives designed to advance academic success, retention, and inclusive excellence through residential learning communities.
This role works closely with faculty, staff, and campus partners to implement policies, programs, and practices that enhance student success. The Associate Director contributes to training, assessment, and communication efforts, while supporting innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the FL-LLC program.
Primary duties
* Provide leadership to the FL-LLC Program, ensuring alignment with institutional goals for retention, engagement, and academic success.
* Supervise and evaluate professional staff, including program coordinators and administrative support personnel. Serve as administrative supervisor for Program Leads, with dotted-line coordination of Faculty Directors.
* Manage daily operations of the FL-LLC program, including procurement, human resources, student hiring, in coordination with Shared Services
* Manage housing assignments assignments to work in conjunction with assignments regarding LLC assignments.
* Lead faculty recruitment efforts for any LLC Faculty Associate Program.
* Design and implement comprehensive training and onboarding for new Faculty Directors and Program Leads.
* Serve as primary liaison to a wide range of campus partners including University Housing, Admissions, Education Abroad, University 101, the Center for Integrative and Experiential Learning (CIEL), Office of Undergraduate Research, and others.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
* Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications
* Master's Degree in higher education or related field
* Seven years of full-time experience
* Demonstrated success in strategic planning, program development, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Experience and understanding of student learning and living-learning programs (LLC)
* Understanding of University Housing operations
* Familiarity with University Housing operations and university systems such as PeopleSoft (HR and Finance), StarRez, Garnet Gate, and Blackboard.
* Strong understanding of assessment methodologies and data-informed decision- making.
* Experience developing collaborative relationships with faculty and administrative stakeholders.
* Proficiency in content creation and promotion through institutional and social media platforms.

* Serve as primary facilitator for training on university systems, procedures, and partnership initiatives .

* Lead the development and submission of the annual assessment report and blueprint for the FL- LLC program.
* Maintain data dashboards and ensure accurate reporting of key performance indicators, including GPA and retention data.

* Collaborate with the Director of Assessment in University Housing to analyze comparative data and communicate outcomes.
