Methodist in partnership with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking an experienced multi-organ abdominal Transplant Surgeon (tenure or non-tenure track at Associate or Professor level) to join our successful and large volume center. This position offers an outstanding compensation and benefits package and can accommodate most visa requirements.
Responsibilities
The James D. Eason Transplant Institute is a large volume transplant center performing approximately 130 adult and pediatric liver transplants and 200 kidney transplants annually and boasts an active hepatic and pancreatic surgical practice. Nationally recognized for its success with kidney, liver, kidney-pancreas and pancreas transplants, robust clinical activity, innovation and interdisciplinary research, the Institute has been a leader in the field for more than 30 years.
Transplant Surgeons are University of Tennessee faculty with a clinical appointment with the James D. Eason Transplant Institute at Methodsit University Hospital. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
Candidates must be American Board of Surgery certified/eligible or foreign equivalent and have completed an ASTS abdominal transplant surgery fellowship.
Departmental Preferences:
Preferred candidates will have experience with living donor liver transplantation and hepatico-biliary and pancreatic surgery, including robotic surgery.
Cross training in kidney transplantation, laparoscopic kidney donors and experience with pediatric transplants is required.

Description: The Consumer NeuroInsights Research Lab (C-NRL) at the Fogelman College of Business & Economics is a behavioral research and teaching facility housed in the Department of MSCM at The University of Memphis. C-NRL features a wide range of technologies and methods associated with consumer neuroscience, including: EEG, eye tracking, automated facial expression recognition, GSR, heart rate and heart rate variability (HR/HRV), pupilometry, and implicit testing.
Core Research Values: C-NRL applies neuroscientific methods to obtain better understanding of human decision-making, emotions, and behavior in consumption and managerial contexts. The research program promotes use of multi-method research designs that motivate new research questions and/or complement insights derived from the lab's neuro-physiological measurement capabilities.
