This position will be hired as an IT Endpoint Technician or Senior IT Endpoint Technician depending on the qualifications of the selected candidates.
Purpose
The IT Endpoint Technician/Senior IT Endpoint Technician will work to address employees' IT needs and keep computer systems operational.
Responsibilities
Provide support to users for support on workstations for issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues with desktop and mobile devices, network equipment, and peripherals.
Provision, modify, and maintain users and groups in Active Directory and other various systems.
Address problems with computer systems used by manufacturing tools.
The endpoint technician will be given further projects, activities, duties or other responsibilities according to the growth of the TIE organization and its mission.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of managing users, groups, and systems in Active Directory.

The PCS is responsible for managing departmental technology resources, addressing security concerns, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring compliance with university policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide advanced tier II and III (2-3) support for faculty, staff, and students, addressing issues with desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment (PC and Mac).
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
* Manage and maintain accurate records of all department computing resources, including hardware, software, and peripherals.

Purpose
The Assistive Technology Access Coordinator will manage the Assistive Technology Education Center (ATEC) lab and new assistive technology as appropriate. They will serve as the point-of-contact for the Campus Testing Center and Digital Accessibility Center and recruit, train and supervise student associates and office assistants.
Job Responsibilities
* Introduce the Assistive Technology Education Center (ATEC) lab and new assistive technology as appropriate. Provide training on new assistive technology as needed. Manage assistive technology lab usage, including computers, software, and adaptive equipment. Assess and maintain all ATEC-related technology. Facilitate acquisition of new items or upgrades in conjunction with IT by assessing available technologies and obtaining quotes for purchase.
* Manage syncing of D&A's Clockwork database system to RegisterBlast, the Campus Testing Center reservation system. Serve as point-of-contact between D&A and the Campus Testing Center regarding test proctoring. Oversee test proctoring in the ATEC lab.
* Coordinate logistics of note-taking program for D&A students, notetakers, and faculty. Consult with D&A staff on notetaking requests and the notetaking system as needed.
* Process and fulfill course-related accessibility requests including the conversion of materials for physical or graphic accessibility (e.g. Braille, embossed images, etc.). Work with third party vendors to outsource Braille transcription needs. Troubleshoot computer software and hardware problems relevant to the production of alternate media and assistive technology. Consult with Digital Accessibility Center staff to ensure conversion of digital materials.
* Recruit, train, and supervise student associates and office assistants for the ATEC lab, coordination of office related projects, alternative text conversion, and other related services.
* Consult on material and digital accessibility as requested by ADA Coordinator, councils, boards, and campus partners. Serve as a resource to faculty, staff, departments and campus community on assistive technology access issues. Research and stay abreast of current and emerging technologies in the alternate media and assistive technology field.
* Work collaboratively with the executive director and director of campus collaboration and access to ensure that all technology is current and costs are aligned with allotted budget.
* Meet with individual students for problem solving, and information dissemination using independent judgment in interpreting D&A, University, and ADA policies and procedures.
* Conduct intake and drop-in appointments with current and prospective students and families and maintain a caseload of approximately 250 students. This includes leading assistive technology intakes for newly registered students with visual disabilities. Determine reasonable accommodations and support faculty and staff in implementation of approved accommodations. Ensure accurate records are maintained in a confidential manner in keeping with the University's document retention policy, privacy laws, FERPA and ADA requirements.
* Prepare and deliver presentations and workshops for students, faculty, and other University personnel and/or divisions regarding disability and accessibility.
* Function as a member of D&A, assist with general functions of the office and special projects as assigned.
* Serve on assigned D&A teams in processing of services and office development. Work with other staff members on assessment goals and collecting, reviewing and interpreting departmental data.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in education, rehabilitation services, technology domain or related field.
* At least three years' experience in assistive technology and working with students with disabilities at the postsecondary level.
* The candidate must be familiar with the needs of students with disabilities, assistive technology, software, and programs for individuals with various disabilities.
* Excellent supervisory and interpersonal, communication skills. Professional demeanor.
* Experience reviewing psycho-educational reports, working within the guidelines of the ADA, ADAAA and Section 504.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in education, rehabilitation counseling, technology domain, or a related field and at least three years of experience in assistive technology and working with students with disabilities at the postsecondary level.
* Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, such as sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, ADA, and copyright law.
* Familiarity with WCAG, accessible document creation and universal design for instruction.
Salary Range
$62,000 + depending on qualifications

Purpose
The Senior Technical Support Specialist position is one of the first points of contact for technology support and solutions within University Housing and Dining (UHD). Provides computer desktop end-user support and audio-visual support by leveraging technical abilities to problem solve and assist the day-to-day operations of UHD. Assures computer operating problems are responded to and resolved in a timely manner. This includes installing, monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware, software, and audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
* Provide timely computer desktop and technology support, various IT services, knowledge, and solutions to UHD end-users. Understand technology issues by listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes, and using resources to research and solve problems. Always provide excellent customer service.
* Operate and test the functionality of all AV and integrated conference rooms. Perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and displays. Perform preventative maintenance to resolve problems or identify resolutions to appropriate vendors or manufacturers.
* Perform installation, configuration, repair, maintenance, and upgrades on Windows/Mac hardware (main focus of Windows), related equipment, and various university applications. Related equipment includes but is not limited to desktops, laptops, iPads, Surfaces, printers, and other peripherals.
* Participate in UHD Initiatives. Attend regularly scheduled meetings. Perform special projects and tasks. Perform other duties as assigned.
* Assist with IT inventory.
Required Qualifications
* High School graduation or GED.
* Three years installing and configuring Microsoft products, including but not limited to Windows Desktop Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
* Three years of demonstrated experience in IT customer service and/or help desk environment.
* Knowledge of directory services and remote access tools.
* Knowledge of computer and peripheral operations, installation, and troubleshooting.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience managing a Citrix Virtual Desktop Environment.
* Experience supporting systems remotely.
* Experience supporting clients on-site /in-person.
* Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.

Driving Required

Purpose
We are seeking a skilled, customer‑focused IT professional to join our team as either a Desktop Support Specialist or Senior Desktop Support Specialist, depending on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. The Building Operations Technology (BOT) Team plays a critical role in supporting the institution's built environment by managing 17 Building Automation System (BAS) applications. These systems are essential for controlling and monitoring HVAC and lighting across both new construction and renovation projects. The BAS Specialist at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides analysis of facilities business and management needs and problems in terms of system and user-department requirements and establish viable means to enhance performance via database applications and tracking mechanisms for building automation and operations technology system servers, workstations, field processors, databases, advanced programming enhancements, and special projects.
Ideal candidate will have experience supporting Siemens applications and supporting all the IOT infrastructure that supports facilities.
The salary range is $106,500 - $133,000 - $159,500.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Oversee the Daily Support and Maintenance of all Building Automation System Servers, Software, and Field Processors:
Consults with departmental personnel for problem definition and management requirements. Provides problem analysis and issue resolution within the section, and assistance to BAS co-workers and end users. Document and maintain all levels of Building Automation Systems (BAS) information, servers, workstations, and field processors tied into BAS. Assists in preparing user information, IP and Workstation Acronym addresses and NIC address for Institution's database. Configures software and hardware for expansion and upgrades of the Building Automation System and OT architecture to include BBMD processor configuration and management. Develops utility programs and applications. Coordinates work efforts of other IT & IS personnel for setup configuration and troubleshooting of computer servers, workstations, networks, and other specialty software systems and Information Security requirements pertaining to operations technology applications and field processors.
CMMS, BAS System, Database and Application Upgrades:
Responsible for the installation of new software and enhancement release upgrades in coordination with IS/IT departments. Analyzes source documents, data base structure, and management report requirements. Coordinates operations technology systems improvements between Information Systems and user departments and provides necessary documentation and consultation for implementation of system upgrades. Review, analyze, recommend, receive approval, and coordinate plans & procurement of system upgrades. Coordinate and resolve software and hardware compatibility issues.
System Security, User Access Control, Audit and Disaster Recovery Plans and Operations Paperwork:
Establish, administer, and maintain system security on all building automation and operations technology systems. Develop levels of security, which enable appropriate user levels to update data for which they are responsible. Develops and maintains a database of application and OS software licenses. Prepares written documentation on the system's operations. Conduct audits to ensure data quality, write reports, and create data queries. Ensures compliance with internal controls. To that end, the incumbent will become familiar with, maintain a current knowledge of, and apply Internal Controls in the course of the conduct of their position and their role in BAS network administration using Sustainable Planner, Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery documentation, and GRC risk assessments.
Hardware and Software Integration and Technical Advisor for Programming Projects:
Determines system configuration, and integration requirements including BAS hardware, software and firmware configuration and troubleshooting. Coordinates with other BAS Specialists and IS/IT technical resources and serve as liaison between inter-institutional computer facilities, operations technology vendor representatives, and other divisional/departmental system coordinators. Make general database performance improvements, ensure data integrity, recover corrupted data, and eliminate superfluous data. Assists in programming of complex problems. Advises less experienced programmers in the development, testing, debugging, and revising of programs. Provides guidance to and acts in a training and professional development capacity for less experienced Building Automation System programmer analysts, system users, and facilities O&M support personnel. Consults with departmental personnel for problem definition and sequence of operation programming requirements.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, Computer Technology, or other related technical field.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: At least five years of building operations technologies analysis, design, project management, and programming experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis.
Preferred: Hands-on experience supporting Siemens APOGEE and Desigo Building Automation Systems, Tridium Niagara application, Trane Ensemble application, EATON Foreseer application, Siemens, Distech, and Phoenix Controls processors, system integration, SOAP, BACnet, OPC, Modbus and related industry protocols. Direct hands-on experience supporting clinical patient care and operating room environments, MRI/DI, research laboratory environments and controls, central utility plants, vivarium's, data centers, and other highly technical environments.

Purpose
This position will support the on-site network communications requirements across the University of Texas at Austin environment.
Responsibilities
Under supervision, plan, design and conduct wireless surveys and designs as well as operate and maintain wireless network components and configurations in support of all UT Austin student, faculty, staff and affiliates.
Under supervision, maintain network asset information, equipment sparing process, and lab organization.
Under supervision provide semi-skilled field support to install, troubleshoot, and maintain the university's network and voice systems to provide requested improvements for campus units.
Provide basic support for standard network design, troubleshooting, and after-hours event support. Driving university owned vehicles to job sites will be required for this position. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157.
Maintain relationships with ET and unit representatives to address immediate needs, troubleshoot network and telecom systems, and maintain university inventory items.
Provide feedback and identify problems with organizational evaluation of new network technologies, proof of concept projects, and configuration automation.
Raise visibility of issues to network engineers of issues with automation processes, fault detection, standardized operations, and life cycle management.

Required Qualifications

Position Summary:

The Epic OpTime/Anesthesia application analyst will collaborate with and provide support to their counterparts from other applications to successfully meet the development and implementation objectives for assigned Epic applications. Effectively manages competing and changing priorities. Develops, documents, and adheres to the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with related applications and systems. Interacts professionally with leadership, faculty, staff, and vendors.

Education:
Bachelor's degree (4 years of comparable experience may be substituted for a degree).
Experience:
A minimum of three 3- years of directly related Epic experience including in-depth knowledge of software development/build lifecycles. OpTime/Anesthesia experience preferred.
Additional Licenses and Certifications:
As specified by the department director, Epic certification for assigned modules are required within eighteen (18) months of hire. Epic certification must be maintained per Epic Corporation standards.
1. Workflow: Based on clinical project requests, works with requestors and users to understand, and document current
workflow with an eye toward proposed future workflows that are optimized for any planned application changes.
2. Design and Build: Presents recommended system enhancement opportunities and creative technical solutions for surgical scenarios. Using analytical evaluation skills, identifies, proposes, builds, and demonstrates prototypes of application configuration options for review and approval by project requestors.
3. Performs ongoing maintenance and configuration updates to Epic applications.
4. Test: With minimal supervision, creates test scripts, timelines, and plans for application and workflow changes. Performs actual testing of clinical information system configuration and processes, including testing across applications and/or the testing of the application configuration of other analysts. Coordinates and participates in requestor and user testing of application changes.
5. Support: Provides tier-two support to end-users both remotely and in-person. Monitors, investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves incoming tickets. Serves as a liaison between users and vendors. Coordinates system fixes and changes with software vendors. Coordinates the deployment of application changes with the training team and operations.
6. Mentoring and coaching of associate analysts.
