Purpose

Dell Medical School is seeking a MedicalAssistant for the Musculoskeletal Institute.
Purpose
The MedicalAssistant will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the cycle of care for patients served in the Integrated Practice Units (IPUs) at UT Health Austin to include collecting vital signs, conducting patient assessments during clinic visits, and assisting providers during patient exams.
Responsibilities
* Provide support and guidance to patients who are completing pre-clinic surveys. Work with a multidisciplinary team of providers to identify and schedule patient visits. Follow-up with patients who have not completed surveys to identify and address potential barriers.

Position Summary:
Functions as a member of the clinical team performing a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
Position Key Accountabilities:

Candidates must have an earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy, be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas, have successfully completed a specialty practice residency in Internal Medicine, Pharmacotherapy, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate effective teaching. The successful applicant will facilitate practice laboratories, provide classroom instruction, mentor, and supervise clinical clerkships for students in the Pharm.D. program. Clinical service supporting resident and Pharm.D. student education as well as the operational goals of ASMCA pharmacy is expected. While on-site at ASMCA, faculty members will be embedded in the de-centralized clinical pharmacy team and meet operational department expectations as appropriate.
