Purpose
General Counseling and Mental Health Center, is seeking to fill one (1) positions as the coordinator of our Mindful Eating Program. Must be licensed at Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist.This position will provide short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, prevention and outreach services to undergraduate and graduate students with emphasis on supporting students who present with disordered eating and/or body image difficulties.
Responsibilities
Provide short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, prevention and outreach services to undergraduate and graduate students with emphasis on supporting students who present with disordered eating and/or body image difficulties.
* Conduct initial assessments of students' presenting concerns. Conduct short-term counseling with students referred for service.
* Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all service contacts as required by center policies and procedures.
* Develop and implement a good blend of programmatic interventions which address the psycho-social mental health needs of students as applicable
* Identify group assignment preferences and propose/develop new groups, as appropriate.
* Initiate advertising/recruitment and screening for group.
* Facilitate groups in accordance with service agreement.
* Demonstrate knowledge about group counseling and/or seek appropriate training.
Reviews client record to determine the progress, effectiveness, and appropriateness of treatment services offered. Maintains current, accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal law, professional ethics, and Counseling and Mental Health Center, CMHC, policies.
Provide clinical consultation to others on an as-needed basis and seeks consultation when appropriate. Provide urgent care services as necessary to students.
* Works collaboratively and cooperatively with other mental health professionals on CMHC's multidisciplinary staff and other university departments and organizations
* Develops linkages with key contacts of the designated population or issue for the purpose of developing and implementing programmatic interventions which generate substantial participation by students.
Provide clinical training and supervision to social work and psychology interns, as well as pre-doctoral psychology practicum students.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Purpose
To provide student organization advising, program development activities, and coordination for the Student Life Office in the Cockrell School of Engineering.
Responsibilities
* CSE Student Organizations: Serve as Engineering Student Life point of contact for 80+ engineering student organizations. Problem-solve with and advise students regarding student organization issues such as event planning, fundraising, travel, recruitment, organization structure, and member retention. Work with Engineering Student Life team to coordinate and lead monthly meetings with CSE student organization leaders. Gather feedback and analyze data as part of ongoing student programming assessment. Oversee student organization office spaces in the EER student organization suite. Assist organizations with annual re-registration and re-sponsorship process through the Student Activities Office in the Dean of Students. Educate and enforce CSE and University student organization policies and procedures. Collaborate with Engineering Student Life staff to revise and implement policies and procedures. Partner with the Dean of Students to ensure annual Safety Education Program completion.
* Special Programs: Assist in planning and execution of annual Engineering events such as the LeaderShape Institute and the Gone to Engineering new student welcome event. Support Texas Engineering Belonging and Engagement initiatives and contribute to team activities and programming.
* Supervisory: Hire, Train, and Supervise 1-3 student assistants and one full-time Graduate Assistant. Set schedules according to office needs and manage educational projects.
