Your responsibilities as AssistantProfessor (tenure track) in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health will consist of 75% research, 20% education, 5% service. Over time, these relative percentages may vary, depending on the research funding and other factors. The duties will include the following:
* Conduct research, both independently and in collaboration with other SMPH and UW faculty, within a specialized field of interest including tobacco dependence, personalized medicine, and dissemination and implementation science, or a related field.
* Clinical psychology, service activity, or mentoring of trainees whether they be students, postdoctoral fellows, scientists and/or early-career faculty. The incumbent would be expected to engage in teaching or service efforts sufficient for promotion if applicable and participate in professional and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.
* The successful applicant will also participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

The successful candidate is expected to have secured independent funding, such as through a K award, to support their research program.
The candidate's background should demonstrate expertise and extensive experience in the following areas:
* Addiction research, including research on tobacco dependence and withdrawal
* Expertise in tobacco treatment in cancer care
* Expertise in the treatment of tobacco use in the context of other substance use
* Interest in tobacco dependence treatment personalization strategies using machine learning or artificial intelligence approaches.
* The ideal candidate will have a successful record of research productivity.
Required Licensure in Clinical Psychology in Wisconsin by start date of position.
* The incumbent must hold and continuously maintain a valid Wisconsin Clinical Psychology license during the entirety of your appointment.

The Children's Heart Institute (CHI) is seeking a pediatric cardiologist with expertise or subspecialty training in acute care/inpatient cardiology to join our rapidly expanding team. Fourth year acute care cardiology fellows as well as candidates with expertise in inpatient cardiology, quality improvement and/or patient safety are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicant will spend time on the cardiology inpatient service which covers the Children's Heart Institute IMU (acute care unit), Cardiac ICU, cardiology consults and cardiac patients in NICU. Duties include patient care, teaching of fellows/residents/medical students/APPs, and participation in research and/or other scholarly activities. The acute care cardiology team is a multidisciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, fellows, residents, growing APP team, nursing, dietitians, pharmacists, discharge coordinators, case managers, speech therapists.

Position Key Accountabilities:

This position requires 10-12-hour shifts, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekend rotations.
This role requires strong clinical assessment skills for both pre- and post-operative evaluations, including history taking, physical examination, and assessment of children with various acute and chronic conditions. You will be responsible for facilitating all daytime consults, performing procedures, and admitting patients. In the inpatient setting, you will participate in the daily care of patients, including discharge planning and facilitation of post-operative follow-up. Effective communication, triage assessment, and clinical judgment skills are required. Collaboration with specialized doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, outpatient administrative staff, and inpatient staff is necessary. The candidate is expected to educate fellows, residents, and students on rotation. Additionally, this role may involve telephone triage and follow-up telephone evaluations of post-operative patients and emergency room patients.

Essential Functions
The person hired will be one of 11 full-time faculty in the Department. This person:
1.Will teach a mix of online and face to face courses. Teach some of the following: Introduction to Criminal Justice, Theories of Criminal Behavior, Criminal Justice Administration, Corrections in America, Research Methods, Quantitative Analysis, Juvenile Delinquency, Homeland Security, Probation and Parole, Application Practices in Criminal Justice, and other criminal justice courses that are of interest to the students and the hired faculty member. In addition, must be able to teach general education courses in these areas, sociology and/or political science. May be given the opportunity to teach an upper level course in these areas.
2. Will be considered for the position of Coordinator of the Undergraduate CCJS program and possibly of the Graduate CJAD program.
3. Expect to pursue an active research agenda. The basic standard for achieving tenure is publishing at least three articles in legitimate peer reviewed journals. Faculty must be the lead author in at least two of these articles and may be the second author in one of these articles. Must be achieved by the end of the fifth year as an assistantprofessor at UTPB. In addition, an assistantprofessor is expected to produce at least one other academic product per year. (e.g. paper presentation at an academic conference.

Schedule
