Manage and oversee databases effectively. 5. Facilitate the scheduling process for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) clients. 6. Deliver programmatic support for the Collegiate Recovery Program. 7. Assist with BASICS (Brief Alcohol and Other Drugs Screening and Intervention for College Students). Contribute to initiatives aimed at eliminating tobacco use. 8. Support the Bystander Intervention Initiative. 9. Aid in programming designed to prevent interpersonal and sexual violence. 10. Aid in the development of a curriculum for a chemical dependency group. 11. Collaborate with CAPS staff to design groups, workshops, and events that emphasize recovery, chemical dependency, and overall well-being. Required Qualifications 1. The University of Texas, Dell Medical School (DMS), is a Health Research Institute (HRI) for the Texas Children's Mental Health Care Consortium. The program and projects of the Dell Medical School, HRI work to address the clinical needs of the programs which address urgent mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in Texas for children and adolescents. Purpose This position will provide mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and family members through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program at Dell Medical School. The therapist will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, ability work independently with a strong attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skill, and will possess a commitment to professional ethical and practice standards. TCHATT provides telemedicine or telehealth programs to school districts to help identify and assess the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents and provide access to mental health services. Responsibilities * Evaluates and provides diagnostic impressions. Formulates treatment plan according to evidence based practices and protocol. Conducts individual, family and group therapy sessions as needed. Monitors patients for suicidal/homicidal intent and ensures patient safety if necessary. Undertakes crisis intervention, as needed. * Participates in any supervision, feedback, and quality assurance checks. Provide routine physical assessments and other wellness exams and screenings. Review laboratory and diagnostic findings; conduct patient follow-up calls; track and monitor all lab results.
