The Section of Internal Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position in an inpatient hematology role at the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center. This APP will provide medical care to patients with hematologic disorders in the inpatient setting under the direction of a physician. The candidate will be required to provide clinical excellence, scholarly enthusiasm, and a track record of excellent clinical performance. The Inpatient Hematology Physician Assistant (PA) will provide clinical care for hospitalized patients with hematologic disorders. Working in collaboration with Attending Hematologists, Hematology-Oncology Fellows and the inpatient care team, the inpatient PA will manage admissions, daily assessments, treatment planning, coordination of care, and discharge planning.
Job Duties
Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations, including assessments for hematology consults.
Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic procedures, develop appropriate treatment plans for hematology patients.
Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for hematologic conditions.
Manage inpatient admissions, daily progress notes and discharges in collaboration with inpatient hematology teeam.

Communicate with physicians, patients, and the family members of patients concerning patient care.

Department-specific responsibilities include, collaborating with inpatient hematology attending physycian, hematology-oncology fellows and the inpatient team as well as coordinating complex discharge plans with navigator, outpatient hematology APP, staff and other support services. The APP will work closely with the hematology team, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care throughout hospitalization. The APP will also participate in daily inpatient rounds, weekly intake meetings and monthly hematology tumor boards.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Required: Master?s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. NOTE: Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies accepted based on terminal degree requirements at time of graduation.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Principal Faculty member as a Full-time Faculty Instructor in the Physician Assistant Program is primarily responsible for course instruction and/or course coordination in the didactic and/or clinical phase of the program. It is expected that a Principal Faculty/Faculty Instructor will be effective in the areas of course design, course delivery, and evaluation. The Principal Faculty/Faculty Instructor (Full-time) is a member of the faculty (rank commensurate with experience) with the Physician Assistant Program.

KEY JOB ELEMENTS:
1. Provides teaching and instruction in the PA program including:
Coordination of instruction for a minimum of 6 courses annually.
Lecturing in areas of clinical and/or professional expertise.
Providing academic advising as a Small Group Facilitator and Student Advisor.
2. Assists the Director of Didactic Education in the administrative coordination of the didactic phase of the program.
3. Assists the Director of Clinical Education in the administrative coordination of the clinical phase of the program.

10. Participates in the program's admissions process to include student recruitment, student evaluation (through application review and candidate interviews), and student selection meetings.
11. Engages in service, community and campus relations, and scholarly activities appropriate to the role of a Principal Faculty (Full-time) member.
12. Participates in faculty development opportunities each year as required in the areas of teaching and academic administration.
13. Assists with clinical site development and clinical site monitoring.

The Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, in conjunction with Seton Family of Doctors (“SFOD”) and Ascension Seton, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our clinical faculty in Austin, Texas. We seek a physician who will help our Department achieve our goal of working with our community partners to develop clinical, educational and research initiatives that revolutionize how people get and stay mentally healthy in Central Texas and beyond. Student loan forgiveness is available for faculty of the Department of Psychiatry through the Texas Mental Health Professionals Loan Repayment Program.
We seek candidates committed to providing exemplary care and treatment that restores hope and helps patients live healthier, fuller lives. A clinical assignment will occur through our Department's collaborations with Seton Healthcare Family with the physician providing clinical care as a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist at Dell Children's Medical Center. Dell Children's Medical Center is the only free standing children's hospital and the only pediatric level 1 trauma center in Central Texas. Our Consultation-Liaison Service is an integrated psychiatry and psychology service that focuses on addressing the psychological and psychiatric needs of our medically complex children in the hospital. We serve as a primary site rotation for psychiatry and psychology trainees as well as medical students.
Our comprehensive pediatric mental health service line also includes a partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, consultation-liaison services, and general outpatient services, including embedded behavioral health in pediatric subspecialty services. As part of the Texas Mental Health Care Consortium, we have launched the Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN), a telephone consultation line for pediatric primary care providers and Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT), a school based telehealth program. We are also integrated in our local mental health community clinics.
Our physicians provide valuable training and education to the next generation of mental health clinicians through our child psychiatry fellowship program and pediatric psychology training program.
The physician would also work with our Dell Children's Psychiatry Team to provide on-call coverage on our Mental Health Unit and within the hospital.

Position Summary:
