RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic, well-organized, and research- and administration-focused full-time Research Assistant I to support Dr. Simone Brioschi's laboratory at the Center for Neuroimmunology and Glia Biology, McGovern Medical School, UTHealth Houston (Texas).
Our laboratory investigates molecular communication between immune cells and brain cells (collectively referred to as neuroimmune communication) during brain development, homeostasis, and disease. Our research relies heavily on mouse models, including multiple Cre recombinase-based genetic systems to selectively target specific cell populations.
We seek candidates holding a B.S. or M.S. degree with a strong passion for biomedical research. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, eager to learn, and genuinely motivated to contribute to high-impact scientific publications. Under the direct supervision of Dr. Brioschi, the candidate will gain foundational training in central and systemic immunology and develop significant expertise in flow cytometry, imaging techniques, and single-cell RNA-sequencing methodologies. This position provides comprehensive research training applicable to future careers in academia or industry.
The Research Assistant in Dr. Brioschi's lab will play a key role in:
