BASIC FUNCTION:
As an Endpoint Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Vermont State College System's IT systems. You will manage and support a diverse range of devices, including Windows computers, printers, and mobile devices, in addition to Apple products. You will provide exceptional technical support to faculty, staff, and students, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, implement system upgrades, and deliver excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support:â¯Provide advanced technical support for Windows and Apple devices, including desktops, laptops, iPads, iPhones, printers, and peripherals. Ensure timely and effective resolution of help desk tickets and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
User Assistance:â¯Assist VSC faculty, staff, and students with IT problems related to Windows and Apple devices. Use independent judgment to offer guidance on software applications, network connectivity, and system usage.
System Administration: Perform routine maintenance tasks on Windows and Apple devices. Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint systems, which includes operating system and application packaging and deployment, software and OS patching, hardware installations, and replacements.
Documentation:â¯Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and user guides. Keep documentation up-to-date and accessible to the IT team.
Training: Facilitate introductory-level training for IT Help Desk staff on the proper use of IT systems and applications. Escalate any additional training requests to the relevant IT team when required.
Collaboration:â¯Collaborate with other IT professionals and vendor contacts to implement new technologies, resolve issues, improve system performance, and contribute to IT projects.
Escalation Support:â¯Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues. Collaborate with IT team members and/or vendors to find efficient and effective solutions.
General Help Desk Tasks:â¯Provide part-time support for general help desk tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting walk-in users with various IT-related issues as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus at least 3 years of experience as a system administrator or in a similar role, with a focus on managing Windows and Apple products.
Preferred: Expert experience with Apple operating systems.

Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel to different office locations with reliable personally owned vehicle. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs of computer equipment as necessary.
Typically, this position is scheduled for 37.5 hours weekly. The budgeted wage for this position is $60,000 - $64,000 annually.

* Evaluates and reports prenatal, constitutional and oncology clinical cytogenetics and molecular genetics cases. Testing methodology includes G-banded chromosome analysis, FISH, microarray, NGS and Sanger sequencing, trinucleotide repeat analysis, methylation-specific PCR and quantitative RT-PCR.
* Provides technical and compliance direction to the cytogenetics and molecular cytogenetics laboratory. Reviews and approves procedures and QA/QI plans with the Section Director.
* Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of laboratory procedures. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.
* Participates by collaborating with the development of business planning in collaboration with WSLH, SMPH and UW-Health.
* Stays current with all UW and WSLH policies and procedures that affect the work and operation of the Department.
* Consultation with clients regarding test orders and results.

The School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a productive nurse scientist to join our tenure track faculty as part of the RISE-AI initiative. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and collaborative group of scientists and scholars conducting innovative and impactful research aimed at improving health care services and individual and population health. Our faculty have research partnerships across campus, communities, schools, homes, and at University Hospital (UW Health) next door.
We seek a candidate who will develop and maintain robust externally funded research programs. Qualified applicants will have a program of research on the design, implementation, use and/or evaluation of AI-assisted technologies focused in one of the following areas:
* healthcare workflows;
* healthcare decision-making;
* expanding access to care;
* improving outcomes for patients, caregivers, and communities.
