Job Activities: The Research Study Assistant's primary activities involve completing study visits on the RADAR project. The position's specific activities include: following established protocols for one-on-one sociobehavioral interviews with participants; obtaining informed consent or assent; data collection; conducting study assessments; maintaining accurate, timely and detailed records of participant contact; maintaining and updating databases; managing monthly E-raffles; and other project-related responsibilities. The Research Study Assistant will be responsible for conducting HIV testing and counseling as part of the study procedures. The Research Assistant (RA) is expected to work in-person at study sites without a regular work from home schedule. The position will also require some evening hours (e.g., 11 AM - 7 PM) and weekend shifts to maximize retention efforts for study participants who are unavailable during the regular workday.

James Madison University's Libraries is seeking a part-time Supervisor to join the Library & Information Services (LIS) team in the Access & User Services department.
The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to offering high-quality services to JMU and the local community. The position will help staff our physical Ask the Library service points and support virtual services during morning hours. The role will contribute to campus assessment activities and to the Assessment and Measurement PhD program, which is dedicated to preparing professionals in assessment and measurement.
CARS integrates assessment, educational research, and graduate student training. CARS faculty work with interdisciplinary teams of JMU faculty and staff on a variety of projects related to the assessment and improvement of learning and developmental outcomes of university students. CARS faculty consult with campus programs on all phases of the assessment cycle, including the development of assessments and assessment plans, assist with the analysis of data and reporting of results, and provide guidance in the use of results for learning improvement. Duties and Responsibilities:
The faculty member will teach two measurement, statistics, or research design courses per academic year; we are particularly interested in applicants who can teach courses in modern research design (e.g., quasi-experimental designs, causal inference, propensity score modeling, missing data techniques) or with expertise in testing, measurement, and psychometrics that include the use of artificial intelligence, large language models, and machine learning methodology. The faculty member will also advise graduate students, serve on dissertation and thesis committees, and maintain a program of research. The specific area of specialization for the candidate's research is open but should be a topic that advances contemporary quantitative methodology. Approximately 40% of the faculty member's time is allocated to JMU's outcomes assessment activities.
Qualifications:

The lab's research addresses significant, real-world problems posed by institutional dysfunction, democratic backsliding, and unequal political influence.

James Madison University, a Division 1 member of the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference, is accepting applications for an Event Manager, Atlantic Union Bank Center (AUBC). The AUBC is the premier event venue for the JMU Campus, community, and region. The venue is the home to JMU men's and women's basketball programs including all home games, University Commencement and programming, along with many other major community events. Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership/Personnel Management and Stakeholder Relations
* Provide strategic, independent and critical thinking to the over-all goals of the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
* In consultation with the Director of the Atlantic Union Bank Center, provide leadership and supervision for the Facility Manager - AUBC, student employees, wage staff, interns, and practicum students, including recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, and, when necessary, corrective action or termination.

* Manage and provide oversight of third-party event staffing and contracted support services.

* Monitor and manage financial outcomes related to events, maintaining accountability for budget adherence and accurate reporting.
* Responsible for post-event follow-up and client retention to build a repertoire of annual events, making each year more efficient and impactful.

Advocate for CISE and raise its visibility among internal and external stakeholders, by collaborating with University Advancement and other units. Build and sustain relationships with alumni, industry partners and other constituents to expand resources and support fundraising efforts that advance the University's mission.
Develop and administer the CISE budget, physical space, and personnel resources to support academic and operational priorities Actively pursue additional resources for the college as opportunities arise.
Supervise and support classified and academic staff within CISE. Lead efforts to recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team while cultivating a collaborative work environment that encourages mentoring, leadership development, and professional growth.
Collaborate with academic units and stakeholders to develop a clear, relevant vision and strategic plan for the college. Lead the development and execution of key priorities that advance the CISE mission and strengthen its programs.
Serve as a faculty member within CISE, contributing to teaching and scholarship in alignment with the dean's academic expertise and the needs of the college. Foster interdisciplinary collaborations within CISE and across the university as well as partnerships with industry, government, community organizations, and other academic institutions to support applied learning, research and innovation.
Oversee program assessment and accreditation efforts to ensure academic quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across all programs.
Champion student success by supporting inclusive learning environments, experiential education, and co-curricular opportunities that prepare students for meaningful careers and lifelong learning.
Qualifications:
Qualifications for this tenured professor position include the following:
An earned terminal degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution of higher education.
A strong record of teaching, scholarship and university or professional experience commensurate with a tenured appointment at the rank of professor in CISE.
Minimum of five years of progressive administrative experience at the academic unit level or above.
Minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated experience with budgetary and financial processes.

General Information:
The Shenandoah Valley Child Development Clinic is an interdisciplinary clinic that has been providing services to children and families from birth to 21 years of age for more than 40 years. The CDC is a grant funded program through the VA Department of Health. The clinic addresses concerns regarding education, behavior, health, emotions, development, and the parent-child relationship. We serve a broad range of clients that include foster children and high-risk families. Our primary goal is to ensure children receive the support and evaluation services needed to help them maximize their potential. The clinic's hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Licensed Psychologist is expected to conduct psychological assessments across the developmental continuum, which include: gathering pertinent cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral information through record review and interviews with parents; administering, scoring, interpreting standardized and informal instruments, and writing comprehensive psychological reports.
The Licensed Psychologist works with interdisciplinary team members to develop appropriate interventions and recommendations that are based on the results of psychological assessments. The Licensed Psychologist provides care coordination services by participating in feedback sessions with parents and serving as a resource to parents, schools, agencies, and the clinic evaluation team.
Qualifications:
* Education Specialist degree in School Psychology or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an accredited college or university.
* Licensed as a School Psychologist or licensed as a Clinical Psychologist. Licensure in the state of Virginia must be obtained by the start date.
* Experience and/or knowledge of developmental issues and childhood behavioral and emotional disorders or experience working with children is preferred.
* Experience/understanding of issues in the assessment of individuals from all backgrounds.
