    The Acute Inpatient Oncology Unit at UVA Health is a newly built, 28-room facility specializing in Hematology-Oncology, Gynecology-Oncology, Neuro-Oncology, and Benign Hematology. Nurses on this unit care for patients receiving innovative therapies such as BiTE, HiPEC, and ISBT, with RN-to-patient ratios of 1:3 during the day and 1:4 at night. General Information: The Healthcare for the Homeless Suitcase Clinic, a healthcare initiative dedicated to improving the health of the local homeless population, is accepting applications for a part-time Clinic Nurse. The Clinic Nurse collaborates with other professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health conditions as well as other client needs. The Nurse serves as an advocate who helps patients understand their health status and how to improve it as well as a liaison between patients and clinicians, staff, and community organizations to ensure that the desired client outcomes are achieved. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet unit requirements and/or as needed.
