UI Health is seeking three (3) Medical Assistant Credentialed / Certified staff to join our Orthopedic Clinic. This role will work under the direction of the Physician, performs a variety of clinical and clerical services to support physician practice in an outpatient setting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
A Medical Assistant Credentialed / Certified typically performs the following duties per healthcare facility protocols (federal, state and university) and specific duties assigned
Maintains medical records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, reviews and prepares EHR to ensure completeness prior to patient exam, obtains missing documentation; documents medical visits, observations, and related activities
Direct Patient Care Tasks:
* Assists nursing/medical staff with tasks related to preliminary assessment, education, and documentation of patient condition and the presenting health complaint including:

Under direct supervision of the on-site provider, assists in the delivery of patient care. UI Health is seeking three (3) Medical Assistant Credentialed / Certified staff to join our Orthopedic Clinic. This role will work under the direction of the Physician, performs a variety of clinical and clerical services to support physician practice in an outpatient setting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
A Medical Assistant Credentialed / Certified typically performs the following duties per healthcare facility protocols (federal, state and university) and specific duties assigned
Maintains medical records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, reviews and prepares EHR to ensure completeness prior to patient exam, obtains missing documentation; documents medical visits, observations, and related activities
Direct Patient Care Tasks:
* Assists nursing/medical staff with tasks related to preliminary assessment, education, and documentation of patient condition and the presenting health complaint including:

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Search extended through 1/26/2026 Hiring Department: UICOMP-Pediatrics Salary: $249,084 to $351,382 per year The Division of Child Development and Rehabilitation in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is recruiting a 1.0 FTE Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to further develop the care available to children with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities in Central Illinois. We are looking for an energetic individual who has a passion to improve the lives of children living with disabilities and their families. There are opportunities to lead in the development of the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Cerebral Palsy Program at OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois. This program is a collaboration of pediatric specialists in orthopedic surgery, neurodevelopmental pediatrics, neurosurgery, nutrition, occupational and physical therapies, speech and language pathology, nursing and social work. There is approval from the leadership at OSF CHOI to participate with the Cerebral Palsy Research Network and this process has been started. There is a well-established Multidisciplinary Spina Bifida Program for children and adults.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in education at all levels-locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. Medical students, residents and fellows participate in our clinics. There is support for research with the university as well as with the hospital.
Position Summary
The Division of Child Development and Rehabilitation at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is recruiting a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician with expertise in care for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. They will participate in inpatient consultation, outpatient assessment and management, and interdisciplinary care for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. There is ample opportunity for teaching, research, quality improvement, advocacy, and community involvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Assessment and management of children with physical disabilities in the outpatient clinic
* Inpatient consult and follow-up of patients admitted to CHOI with brain injury, spinal cord injury, physical injury.
* Follow-up of patients at Almost Home Kids, a transition to home program
* Management of movement disorders such as spasticity, and dystonia.
* Participation in the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Cerebral Pasly Program and the Multidisciplinary Spina Bifida Program.
* Teaching medical students, residents and fellows
* Community involvement to enhance the lives of children with disabilities and their families
Minimum Qualifications
* M.D or equivalent
* Board Certification in PM&R
* Eligible for licensure in Illinois
Preferred Qualifications
* Fellowship in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
* Board Eligible in Pediatric Physical Medicine and rehabilitation
* Desire to develop programs for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities in the region.
