Insures accurate and speedy retrieval of Foundation documents; Answers general phone and email inquires; Maintains office calendar, including the Executive Director's; Prepares all checks for signatures, maintains bank balances, and runs financial reports; Initial review of all invoices for payment; Monitors office communications via email, phone, and correspondence; Maintains Foundation website; Prepares documents for Board and Committee Meetings; Represents the Foundation at designated professional meetings; Prepares all grant documents and insures monitoring of receipt of grant documents and disbursement of funds; Answers initial grant inquiries and/or forwards more complex inquiries to the Executive Director; Is responsible for a portfolio of specific grant requests; including, initial recommendation, site visits, and evaluations; Is privy to and maintains confidential Foundation information; and Any other projects as may be assigned from time to time by the Executive Director. Public Health Emergency Response Responsibilities: All District employees must be able to respond to public health emergencies when needed and appropriate. During an emergency response, employee may be assigned to a role in either operations, logistics, or administration by the Incident Commander and/or Section Chief in addition to regular duties. Performs other duties and special projects as required. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited or recognized college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in environmental health or closely related field with a minimum of 30 semester hours of basic sciences (with at least three (3) semesters in each of the following areas: physical sciences, chemical sciences biological sciences, and math). Contact organizations requesting TA to understand their needs and draft objectives/timelines to meet those needs. Match and assign projects to TA providers based on their expertise, and availability/ability to meet the requesters' needs/expertise. Measure the increase in program quality relating to NMRC work plans. Ensure work plans are meeting progress goals Track and Report NMRC program changes post-consultation. Increase the number of completed NMRC work plans MW facilitates. Coordinate with MW communications staff to highlight program accomplishments and recruit additional programs into NMRC. Follow up with organizations receiving TA to receive feedback and ensure quality and satisfaction. Develop annual NMRC budget and track expenses to revenue. Monitor and communicate with NQMS programs 3 times a year. Monitor the NQMS online system: self-assessment, updating assessments, and uploading documents and notes from conversations. Support NQMS site reviews (provide materials, meeting minutes, photo/video). Secure stories and quotes from NQMS programs. Engage every NQMS in NMRC coaching/consulting. Link NQMS programs to NRMC coaches/consultants to support components of I&I Plan. Coordinate with MW communications staff to highlight enrolled programs and recruit additional programs into NQMS. Participate in NQMS training provided by MENTOR and other Affiliates of MENTOR. General program support. Facilitate workshops and training sessions for program providers for a variety of topics. Support the development and implementation of mission centered work such as career connected mentoring, workforce development or other organization initiatives. These classes are designed to be educational and enjoyable, to engage students in critical thinking, and to inspire students to envision themselves as future college students. Instructors agree to cultivate a safe and supportive environment for students with clearly communicated expectations for safety, respect, and responsibility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching Native youth or working in Native communities. 1+ years of experience with the subject matter. In the last year of Undergraduate OR 20+ years old. Ability to create age-appropriate engaging curriculum for 4-5 days of no more than 90 minutes of class time. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A college graduate. 1+ years of teaching professionally in a classroom setting. DUTIES: (80%) Duties Include: Be directly responsible for 8-12 students assigned to your supervision. Lead group activities with your group, and be available for counseling, problem solving etc. Assist students with minor first aid, and be familiar with and provide support of regular medication needs as outlined by parents/guardians. (20%) Duties Include: Attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Keep constant awareness of the flow of camp activities, and proactively support where needed. SPECIAL CONDITIONS (all positions) These positions are designated as a critical, security-sensitive or safety-sensitive positions and therefore, requires the successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and adherence to confidentiality agreements. Persons employed in these positions are considered “mandated reporters” under the Oregon Revised Statutes and are required to comply with the requirements set forth by the Oregon Department of Human Services. This position classification has been defined as non-exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). All staff are required to attend staff trainings prior to the start of camp. Staff training, orientation sessions, and work parties are an important part of preparing for camp. Summer Camp staff will be notified of specific times and locations of trainings after acceptance. For all Summer Camp positions (with the exception of Instructors): These are short-term positions requiring employees to be available around the clock to support camper and fellow staff needs throughout the 6-7 days of camp. All staff, with the exception of Instructors, are required to reside in on-campus dormitories for the duration of camp and sleep in their assigned rooms each night. Availability of courses, including days and times, varies by semester. Adjunct faculty are limited to teaching no more than 11.99 units (approximately 3-4 courses) per semester and 18 units per academic year (fall and spring semesters). Responsibilities: Deliver student learning-centered instruction: * Prepare all course materials and lessons in a manner that supports successful course and program learning outcomes, including program accreditation competencies. You must hold a current certification or license in your profession. * Medical assisting faculty and/or instructional staff must be current and competent in the MAERB Core Curriculum objectives included in their assigned teaching, as evidenced by education and/or experience, and have instruction in educational theory and techniques. * Must have availability to teach during daytime hours; daytime teaching is required for this position. Preferred Qualifications: * Degree above the Associate's level in a health-related field from a regionally accredited college or university. * Previous teaching experience in a post-secondary academic program. * Experience with on-line teaching and/or instruction. * Experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and life experiences. * Ability to build or enhance proficiency in the use of diverse methods of classroom technology, including innovative instructional/academic support systems and programs. * Primarily available during daytime hours, with flexible scheduling capability to accommodate evening, weekend, or special program needs.
