The Social Worker will work as a team member to provide clinical care for persons living with dementia and their families and achieve the goals and objectives of the Outreach, Recruitment and Community Engagement (ORE) Core, the Miller Family Buddy Program, in addition to other psychosocial initiatives. In addition, they will participate in the preparation and review of annual progress reports and competitive renewal for the NIA and other funding agencies. Serve as a primary or secondary teaching instructor in a class or laboratory 2. Assist a faculty member with teaching-related tasks 3. Grade student assignments which require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or laboratory 4. Meet with and/or tutor students, hold office hours, prepare instructional materials, and assist during class and/or lab, etc. For this position, Teaching Assistant will assist with one section of SWK 170: Introduction to Social Work Salary Rate / Pay Rate $755/month Required Qualifications 1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at ***************************************************** 2. Applicants must already be a MSW degree seeking student in the School of Social Work at Illinois State University. 3. For Teaching Assistant positions, State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position. 4. Strong organization, writing, and communication skills.
