    JOB TITLE: Physical Therapist/Site Coordinator General Summary of Duties: University Orthopedics is seeking PT Site Coordinator for the Cranston, RI facility. The candidate must be a Physical Therapist (with RI PT license) and will carry a clinical case load. As a physical therapist they will be responsible for comprehensive examinations to determine body structure and function level impairments, activity limitation and participation restrictions. Establishes diagnosis, prognosis and develops an individualized plan of care. Implements treatment interventions and performs on-going evaluations through-out episode of care. Additionally, will function as the Site Coordinator with management duties. They will oversee day to day operations of the clinic and provide supervision of personnel within the physical therapy department. Physical Therapist Essential Functions: Evaluates patients of various ages with musculoskeletal dysfunction Design appropriate treatment interventions based on findings in evaluation Perform necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with federal and insurance regulations Provide timely and appropriate billing information for services provided Team oriented professional Excellent interpersonal and time management skills Site Coordinator Essential Functions: Assists with hiring, training, and supervising assigned staff helping them develop performance goals and objectives. Assists with performance evaluation and, recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Maintains clinic area, offices, and equipment. Provides data for financial and statistical purposes. Assists in the creation and implementation of medical support and computer systems and procedures. Monitors appointment, patient flow, medical records, and staff. Supervises fee, credit, and collection procedures. Ensures compliance with regulations and with clinic standards of quality patient care. Identifies and resolves operational problems. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices. Maintains strictest confidentiality. Additional duties as assigned by the Manager, COO, HR, and upper management team. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of RI Previous experience in outpatient orthopedics/musculoskeletal rehab preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality Excellent decision-making, delegating, communications, and writing skills. Must demonstrate management skills and ability to foster an environment of teamwork, professionalism, customer satisfaction, high performance, and mutual respect of others, plus possess a “can do” attitude and the ability to execute stellar customer service. Function fully as part of an inter-disciplinary team and attend staff meetings/case conferences. Participate in service coordination activities as a team member. Prepare written reports as needed. Maintain all required DPH, agency and program required documentation and ensure all client file placement. Share knowledge and resources about pediatric therapy intervention. Provide consultation, training, and in-services to staff as needed. What you'll need: Education: Masters degree in Physical Therapy required. Licensure by state of Massachusetts in Physical Therapy required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience working with children from birth to three years of age. Skills: Either be or become Early Intervention certified with DPH.
