GENERAL SUMMARY
The Fitness Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementation of a varied wellness program designed to meet the physical and wellness needs of Independent Living residents.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
Oversees fitness staff, programs and vendors
Focuses on resident communication and safety
Creates a varied and interesting monthly fitness calendar that meets resident's needs
Produces a quarterly newsletter
Arranges and schedules a monthly health lecture
Leads wellness and fitness classes.
Oversees the fitness facilities and equipment preventive maintenance.
Maintains resident paperwork related to fitness program and keeps a current resident roster.
Performs initial assessments and orientation for residents to actively participate in fitness programs and activities, maintains necessary attendance & progress reports as needed.
Encourages residents to take an active part in various fitness and recreational programs.
Participates in professional growth and continuing education programs as needed.
Comply with State and Federal Requirements.
Maintains overall confidentiality.
Develops and maintains an on-going new resident participation tracking system, develop and implement action plans for improvement.
Oversees resident fitness committee and leads the monthly meetings.
Maintains Fitness page on Portal
Supports Activities department with events, parties and chaperones evening trips on occasion.
Plan and execute Annual Fitness events.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree or higher in Exercise Science/Exercise Physiology or licensed PT, PTA.
Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
Current ACSM Certification or current NCCA-accredited, health/fitness-related certifications (e.g., ACE, NCSF, NSCA, Cooper Institute).
Experience teaching fitness and/or wellness classes
At least one year experience in a social or recreation program or a healthcare setting working with the elderly strongly preferred
Computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic.

The EMT Safety Officer is responsible for responding immediately to all emergency situations at the community. Practices proper First Responder protocols and life safety policies and procedures.
Assists the Safety Director with random mock testing and training of staff to ensure emergency preparedness. The EMT Safety Officer is the highest trained medical response officer within the Safety Department.
Makes scheduled rounds across the community, both inside and outside the buildings, to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property, employees, as well as company property. Medical bag/A.E.D. should always accompany EMT Safety Officer making rounds.
Receives all persons who enter the Community at the Safety Kiosk in a courteous manner, informs, guides, directs or otherwise assists residents, visitors, staff or vendors tactfully and congenially to protect and present the best possible image of the Community.
Assists with daily door monitoring checks, maintains departmental emergency equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning, ensures compliance with policies & procedures and reports all discrepancies and unsafe conditions to the Safety Director.

JOB SUMMARY:
The home health caregiver is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient's needs. The home health caregiver is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired.
Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working order.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
Assists with personal care and hygiene
Assist patient with transfers and ambulation throughout the residence
Re-Heat and/or prepare meals for the client with the assistance of feeding
Be a supportive companion to the client
